There is no Measure for Hate Speech

There is no such thing as hate speech.

Hate speech is an irrational anti-concept dripping in the pure slime of subjectivity without any proper objective measure to give it any qualification.

When I consider what has gone on in the UK with Tommy Robinson’s swifter than quicksilver arrest, trial and imprisonment (again), I can’t help but notice how these events have exposed a fault line between the people who ought to be banding together on the same side.

If ever there were a people who could be described as truly pathetic, it is the Palestinian people.

From go to utter woe, these people have developed no cause, no sense, no decent reason for living – and the victimhood they cling to should make any person with an iota of self-esteem wince.

I’ve lived in this country for 40-odd years, mostly in areas that would be called white middle-class suburbs. I went to a very middle-class girls’ high school and have held down jobs in a wide variety of fields of employment. I have a circle of friends from many different backgrounds, but never once have I met someone who could truly be called a flat-out racist, i.e, someone who really hates people of a different ethnicity.

It is worth noting that politics is interesting only in as much as it pertains to philosophy, for it poses an important question: In what way should people be governed? Note the should. That word automatically supposes a value judgement about the topic.

The modern economy, with its vast production and distribution network, is a male epic, in which women have found a productive role — but women were not its author. Surely, modern women are strong enough now to give credit where credit is due!

Uncle Screwtape instructs Wormwood, “the safest road to hell is the gradual one - the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts."

When Aristotle, the ancient Athenian philosopher, devised his systems of logic and metaphysics (the study of the nature of reality), he taught that all entities, be they animal, vegetable or mineral, had a distinct identity or nature (essence) and could only ever be or act according to that nature. This became the famous Law of Identity: a thing is itself, formulaically symbolised as ‘A is A’.

One of my bug-bears is how much feminism has messed with the heads of modern females - to the point where they have shot themselves in the foot so severely that it’s created an ugly limp in what ought to be a woman’s confident stride. What makes this limp a travesty is that I am talking about women who have been thoroughly ‘emancipated’.
