Trump Delivers the Antidote to the Toxic Left

Olivia's picture
Submitted by Olivia on Wed, 2019-02-13 05:25

The only antidote to the left’s toxic hatred of Western culture is for lovers of liberty to keep extolling the virtues of our civilisation and always renew our pride in them.

In his State of the Union address today, President Trump administered this antidote with the skill of a cultural physician – and the cultural nihilists of the left squirmed uncomfortably in their seats (especially Nancy Pelosi, who seemed to have a distressing problem with her dentures again). https://www.youtube.com/watch?...

President Trump’s address could only ever have been delivered by a powerful Western man who oozes the confidence that only comes from knowing that what one is confident in, is the very best thing to be confident about. It’s not a lie, a fudge, or an exaggeration, no sir. It’s the real thing, the genuine article, better than Coke and Levi's.

When one considers every indicator of the freedoms that are hallmarks of Western civilisation, anyone with a perceptive mind cannot fail to notice that leftists have not only betrayed the great legacy of the West, they are aggressively doing their best to completely ruin it for the rest of us and our progeny.

Citizens of the entire Western world are currently enthralled by a weird and hysterical paranoia about being seen to be any kind of ‘racist’.

Calling someone racist using public media is the modern version of clapping a person in the shame-inducing stocks at the heart of the public town square. Public humiliation works wonders when it comes to controlling people, but it’s particularly effective on those who care too much about what others think of them. If someone is more impervious to the terrors of being called a mean name, then no, or very little, humiliation occurs and the attempt at a public pillory is in vain. The trouble is, the wowsers crying ‘racist’ seek to smear your reputation and, with it, your livelihood. Therein lies the real sting of modern public humiliation.

Only two days ago, I had a conversation with a fairly right-wing friend of mine, a big-hearted, decent, compassionate woman who makes the common error of thinking that the lefties are about as decent as she is, but just tend to be a bit misguided.

Because I follow politics in a lot more detail than my friend does, I pointed out that she is projecting her own sense of decency onto the left, and that they are in fact infernally vicious and thick - and they assume everyone else is as vicious and as thick as they are. She thought I was being “a tad too harsh” on them. As she topped up my wine glass, I replied that I knew them better than she did.

Far from being the transparent government Jacinda Ardern promised to lead, New Zealand has instead been betrayed after she and Winston Peters decided to vote in support of the UN Global Migration Compact. The two coalition leaders kept their decision-making hidden in secrecy, far from prying media eyes, stating only as late as two days ago that they had made “no decision yet” regarding the compact, then they quietly went ahead and voted for it (if they hadn’t already).

Brexit Won then Stymied, Thanks to Nigel Farage

Imagine Winston Churchill abdicating leadership right at the moment when the miracle of the Dunkirk evacuation was achieved…

“Right... now England, I’ve gotten our soldiers back for you, here Halifax, you man up and organise them to fight the Nazis, I’m taking a well-earned break.”

Nobody knew more than Nigel Farage how poisonous the snake pit of the EU parliament was, yet he prematurely chose the portentous moment of the Brexit referendum victory to resign his leadership of UKIP – knowing full well that the future negotiations would be, to say the least, devilishly difficult. I found this almost unbelievable at the time when he did it. I find it utterly unconscionable now that the mess has been borne out.

A Tale of Two Revolutions

Olivia's picture

By Olivia Pierson
http://www.oliviapierson.org/b...

In 1776 the American Revolution fought and overthrew the governance imposed by the British monarchy, inspiring the French Revolution on the other side of the Atlantic to throw off its own monarchy just 13 years later.

Yet the French Revolution was an epic failure which brought about the unprecedented butchery of many, including France’s greatest Enlightenment thinkers and scientists, such as Antoine Lavoisier. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... The end result was a military dictatorship and a new monarchy: an autocracy under France’s greatest general, Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. That led to a war which England and its allies won in the climactic battle of Waterloo in 1815.

The Trump Trigger

President Trump has a highly amusing habit of triggering members of the press to the point of hysterical backlash. While running as a presidential candidate he coined the term “fake news”, which I think will be in modern parlance forever.

The point at which the mainstream media wets its diapers is always when the President touts that “fake news is the enemy of the people.”

This statement triggers the press so profoundly, from Left to Right, that they just cannot get the insult straight in their heads. Triggering has this confusing effect on human thought.

From her perfected facial expression of a cute little doe caught in the headlights of a car, to her highly affected baby-voice, Dr. Ford’s performance of a sex assault victim on the verge of a spiritual collapse due to an event 36 years ago just does not ring true to me. What she strikes me as, more than anything, is a squid squirting out ink as a camouflage. Her “ink” consists of soft, vulnerable, feminine emotions which plume around her manipulating everybody to go easy on her because she’s delicate and close to breaking. It’s called playing the victim, the operative word being ‘playing.’

Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s hearing to be admitted to the Supreme Court started out as a circus thanks to Democrats trying to shut the whole process down. Now it has become an all out lynching - and why not? Kavanaugh is fair game under the rules of the #MeToo movement, for he’s a straight, male conservative, which means he has a pair of balls and the whole movement of #MeToo exists only to castrate men. ‘Off With Their Balls!’ should be their official tagline.

West, the loud-speaking, black American liberal, Murray, the politely brilliant, conservative Englishman.
