Slurs of Racism and Atheism

Why do people care so much about being called a “racist”?

What is it about the term that gets people so worked up and determined to prove they’re not one?

Why does the term have such a moral hold over people that we consider it much worse than being called an ignoramus, a bitch, a ho, a sod or a selfish bastard?

I just don’t get why people care so much about it.

A Cultivated Woman, Who Can Find?

A cultivated woman. Now there’s an expression from a by-gone era. When I think of what it means to cultivate oneself during this rather short lifespan of three-score years and ten – if we’re lucky, it strikes me what a dull, undeveloped spectacle most women allow themselves to remain during our time.

My grandmother used to have a term for ugly speech and ill-bred manners in a female – a “guttersnipe.” A guttersnipe was the very opposite of a cultivated woman. But it’s not just the lack of vocal beauty or manners where my criticism about my own sex originates, it's the abject neglect of developing discerning taste and a strong intellect.

Protesting too much – now there’s a hot topic.

Shakespeare exposed this phoney practise through the character of Hamlet’s mother, Queen Gertrude, when she comments wryly on a play inside of a play.

Vehemently insisting on insincere overacting shows that the opposite of what one is protesting is probably the truth.

Take George Floyd’s death for example.

This was a moment where everyone who saw that awful snuff film were unified in their disgust and feelings of wanting to see justice be served to the psycho-killer-cop, Chauvin.

But then what happens?

The Tragic Worldview Versus the Therapeutic

When it comes to democracy, both ancient and modern, there are forces which compete at its heart serving as a moral tension which give the whole system a certain vigour, until it unravels either through mob-tyranny or outright dictatorship.

In ancient Athens, arguments were had over equality versus freedom, an old left/right divide between those who believed that people were not equal and then those who believed that they could be made equal if human nature could just be overridden a little – or a lot.

The progressive view still insists today that equality is more important than freedom, therefore welcomes, or at least tolerates, state intrusion into the lives and livelihoods of citizens to see wealth redistributed “more equally.”

Friedman, who is a conservative, has often supported the president but this time he offered some fairly vague criticisms of him along the lines of: “He just has to make everything about him.” “I want him to lead.” “He’s supposed to be everybody’s president.” “He condemned the demonstrators but hasn’t said a word about…” [sentence incomplete]. “This requires sensitivity, Trump has many virtues, understanding the complexity of this is not one of them.”

Mr. Muller keeps among his private possessions an evil, red MAGA hat, which he intends to display on a prominent shelf in his new parliamentary office.

Joe Biden is clearly not well.

Republican commentators everywhere are perhaps too decent to come out and state the obvious; that it looks as though Joe has dementia. President Trump is putting the case too kindly when he refers to the former Vice President as “Sleepy Joe.”

Joe’s interviews are almost too painful to behold – he stammers and squints into camera, then when he does get on a roll he can’t articulate a coherent sentence and often makes remarks that just don’t make any sense. He literally and frequently speaks nonsense that is beyond the pale of the normal nonsense Dems like to trot out, it’s gibberish consistent with cognitive degeneration.

Remember Folks, Altruism Means Sacrifice

Olivia's picture
Submitted by Olivia on Thu, 2020-05-07 03:39

By Olivia Pierson
https://www.oliviapierson.org/...

The collectivist mindset, whether it be communist, socialist or fascist, has an organising principle and that is self-sacrifice. The individual must sacrifice personal needs and desires for the greater good of the group, the community or the state.

This is demanded by force according to the ethics of altruism.

I’ve written before that altruism doesn’t mean voluntarily doing nice things for others, as we all like to do from time to time. Altruism means dutifully self-sacrificing to others as a moral good.

The term “altruism” was coined in the 19th Century by Auguste Comte, the French founder of the philosophical theory known as positivism. To hold society together, Comte believed that people had to live for the sake of others by renouncing their own self-interest. Generosity and good-will had nothing to do with it.

Groupthinker Ghahraman

In an article which one of my readers recently drew to my attention, Green MP Golriz Ghahraman wrote an essay titled Freedom of Speech and Its Limits where she makes the case for why more hate speech laws should be introduced in New Zealand. https://www.pantograph-punch.c...

Because Ms. Ghahraman lays out the common arguments in favour of this cause as clearly as her abilities allow, it’s worth a read to see the one-track groove of thought those who advance this cause are stuck in. The obsession with minority groups is paramount: gender, sexual, ethnic, racial and religious (except for Christian). They view society through groupthink lenses to pass themselves off as the bold “defenders of minorities” in the eyes of other groupthinkers, which reminds me of a notable quote by philosopher/novelist Ayn Rand:

The smallest minority on earth is the individual. Those who deny individual rights cannot claim to be defenders of minorities.

This is the ten-trillion-dollar question burning in the minds of many – except for NZ journalists, who day-after-day sit through press conferences about the Covid crisis with our government leaders and never mention the word “China.”

The fact that our largest trading partner has obviously indulged in a monumental cover-up that has brought the entire world economy to its knees and literally paused our lives in a Kafkaesque lockdown should see all our journalists peppering our leaders with questions about our country’s future relations with China. Instead we hear them only asking about the details of government handouts. They are beyond pathetic and the very definition of “non-essential” workers.

The FBI Exposed yet Again by Inspector General Horowitz

While the world is currently facing a health crisis with the Wu-flu which dominates the news in all nations, there are still major political issues going on which have not yet been given the full attention that they deserve.

One of these issues is another report undertaken by Michael Horowitz, the Inspector General for the U.S Justice Department, about the FBI’s habit of falsifying information to spy on American citizens through the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

The intelligence agencies were always a major target for President Trump’s open contempt because he knew they had conspired to overturn the result of the 2016 election, which saw him become America’s president.

The President was vindicated entirely when the IG’s first report found that the FBI, under James Comey, falsified facts and information on the FISA court warrants to have, not only the president’s campaign team spied upon, but also his transition team when he was the President-elect, and then on his actual presidency well into 2017.

We have been suddenly stripped of our liberties – and so rapidly everyone appears addled by the speed of the head-spin.

Like penned sheep let out now and then for a little skip around the paddock, we’re all “safely” in lockdown while our government charts a course for our country behind closed doors.

If I lived in America with a President Trump at the helm, I might feel more at ease knowing, in the old-school American tradition, how livelihood friendly and freedom-loving he happens to be. Because of him, that country will survive and make good over time, but that’s not to undermine the economic pain that’s now in the immediate future of Americans, apart from Joe Biden who won’t even notice.

But in New Zealand? Our PM’s only claim to a credential before she became our PM was President of the International Union of Socialist Youth – and she was not outrightly elected by New Zealand citizens in 2017, she got there by a dint of the minority-loving MMP system, along with the power-hungry tactics of a fossilised snollygoster such as Winston Peters.

No discussion of human rights can ever be embarked upon without at least a basic summary understanding about the thoughts of English political philosopher John Locke (1632 – 1704).

In his work Two Treatises on Government, Locke, who had just returned from exile in Holland when the 1688 Glorious Revolution saw William of Orange take the throne, argued against the divine right of kings while his contemporaries, Thomas Hobbes and Sir Robert Filmer, had made arguments for it – Filmer because he believed kingship was a sovereign right ordained by God, and Hobbes because he believed man to be so base and corrupted that he must be subject to external controls, i.e, absolute governance.

Observe Labour’s New-Found Silence on Hate Speech Laws

[Author’s Edit: Since the writing of this piece, Andrew Little has broken his silence on the topic by confirming that the Labour government will announce changes to NZ’s hate speech legislation before the election.]

Has anyone else noticed how silent PM Ardern and Justice Minister Little have fallen over the much-touted “fast-track review of NZ’s current hate speech laws”?

There’s a reason for this: it’s an unpopular issue with NZ citizens and we happen to be in an election year.

NZ political commentator, Chris Trotter, spoke about this last week on the Leighton Smith Podcast. Trotter said:

One of the very few things which could derail this government is Andrew Little persisting with his determination to replicate the laws of the United Kingdom on hate speech here in NZ... if he did that, if he’s allowed to do that... if it were to happen, if Labour and the Greens made that the ditch to die in… David Seymour would reap a very large harvest in votes. He has put himself at the forefront of the free speech debate and I think libertarians across the country would move out of their lethargy and fight very vociferously any attempt to give us the sort of laws they have in the UK.

President Trump’s ambitious plan to end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has resulted in the laying out a detailed road map for a prosperous Palestinian society. It relies on the vision of a two-state solution, something which Netanyahu had lost faith in.

The Peace to Prosperity 181-page document is endorsed by both Bibi Netanyahu and his political rival Benny Gantz, regardless of which one wins the upcoming legislative elections in March. https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-...

Unlike the plan laid out during the famous Oslo Accords in 1993, this peace plan directly addresses important topics such as borders, security, refugees and Jerusalem. The plan is concrete, practical, respectful of long-standing differences and requires strong concessions from both sides.

What Happened to Renaud Camus is Coming to NZ

Controversial French author and philosopher, Renaud Camus, has been convicted and sentenced for “public incitement to hatred or violence by reason of origin, ethnicity, nation, race or religion through words, writings, images or public media by electronic means.”

Judges gave Camus a two-month suspended prison sentence as well as ordering him to compensate two anti-racist organisations to the tune of 1800 euros.

The conviction is the result of a speech Camus made to the National Council of European Resistance in November 2017, where he declared that:

“Immigration has become an invasion[..] The irreversible colonisation is demographic colonisation, by the replacement of the population. The ethnic substitution, the great replacement, is the most important event in the history of our nation since it has existed; as with other people, if the story continues, it will not be that of France.”

Camus, who is decidedly against all forms of violence, has been punished for criticising immigration.

The ringleaders of this disgusting racket, Jacinda Ardern, James Shaw and Chris Hipkins, are about to unleash onto our nation’s 11-15 year-olds a ‘climate literacy’ course titled Climate Change – Prepare Today, Live Well Tomorrow, where, as Perigo points out, feelings are given priority over reason and facts.

One received the message clearly that individuals must be sacrificed in cold service to an even colder state. One could put it to England’s 16th-century Lord Chancellor More that the distorted creatures the nobles of England now breed are called terrorists, though that wouldn’t be entirely fair. A very unusual state of affairs is taking place with black voters across the United States.

When Mitt Romney ran on the Republican ticket for the office of president in 2012, he won 8% of the black vote country-wide. When Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016 he held on to the votes of that same 8%.

But two recent polls – Rasmussen and Emerson – are now showing that a whopping 34.5% of Black Americans approve of the job President Trump is doing.

This represents a potential disaster for Democrats, who have always relied on winning the votes of this minority demographic.

Politics is essentially philosophical in nature for it addresses the ethics of a social system by posing the question: how ought men to be governed?

This question of how men relate to each other has lain at the very heart of all human civilisations, from the ancient Sumerians to the modern American Republic and everything in-between, instructing us that above all things, ideas matter, since getting them wrong can wreak destructive havoc on the human spirit, to say nothing of human lives.

The US does not have a large combat force there. If it were to send one in, the US would be fighting against the territorial integrity of greater Syria, Assad’s country, which is currently propped up by Russia and Iran. The US never agreed to fight a mission to help the Kurds create and maintain their own autonomous homeland, not for one minute.

When NZ PM Jacinda Ardern addressed the United Nations last week, she did her usual spiel on the challenges of addressing climate change, the horror of the Christchurch massacre and her ongoing efforts to have online hatred and violence curbed (which also includes speech that she doesn’t like).

This PM’s obsession with the climate change hoax is as well-known as it is infantile, but what struck me most was the stark absence of any kind of patriotic sentiment in Ardern’s leadership voice. She carefully presented the case that it is nationalism, which she tried to pass off as tribalism, that stands in the way of her global crusades. This is not a patriotic woman.
