Producer John Aglialoro and Atlas Society founder David Kelley discuss the election ...
Aglialoro: It's no surprise that, after 55 years since Atlas Shrugged was published, Ayn Rand is still being attacked with total disdain by the socialist left.
Kelley: John, we knew up front that the movie reviewers, who overwhelmingly subscribe to the socialist left ideology, would trash Atlas Shrugged Part 2, despite the obvious improvements in cinematic quality.

Behold, I give you the personification of Airhead America. Everything about this loathsome creature, including what she's being paid to say and how she says it—exudes militant moronry, which, when preponderant, spells dictatorship. The Tyranny of the Tawdry via the Despotism of the Demagogue will take hold long before Peikoff's Goblian theocracy does:

Debate Four: Romney was trying to be presidential; instead he was pathetic, failing to indict The Filth for its socialism, its appeasement, and its Libya cover-up, and engaging instead in the most cringe-making, stuttering me-too-ing. A disgusting spectacle.

Folk here know I set little store by the indices for economic freedom touted by various think tanks, some of which have ludicrously awarded PLAB*-NZ gold medals in the past, but I've no doubt there are sound empirical reasons for the drop in America's place from 10th in 2011 (measuring data up to 2009) to 18th this year (up to 2010) in the Cato/Fraser rankings:
The reasons can no doubt be distilled into one term: "Obamarx," subsuming the avalanche of regulations, the mountains of debt, the war on coal and oil, the cronyism, the de facto nationalizations (including medicine), the rampaging Nanny Statism perpetrated by The Filth as part of his agenda to "fundamentally transform" America. PLAB-NZ is ranked third.

Recently, Sean Hannity interviewed mega-slimeball Alan Colmes about the Islamaelstrom currently engulfing the Middle East, North Africa and parts of Asia. Sean was trumpeting his own prescience in predicting the course Egypt would take under the Muslim Brotherhood. Colmes triumphantly rejoindered: "You wanted democracy! And the Muslim Brotherhood was democratically elected!" Hannity had no response except a lame, "I don't know why I like you." (I don't know why he does either.) This exchange pointed up yet again the mortal damage one does to liberty by equating it with democracy. Mindful of this, I am here reprising my Stratos TV "peritorial" on the subject:

Of Song and Sin
After the six Lexus Song Quest finalists had sung their lieder selections last Thursday evening, I pointed to Amitai Pati's name in my companion's programme and said, "He will win because he's singing that"—"that" being Ah! Leve-toi Soleil from Gounod's Romeo and Juliet. The singers were of more or less equal talent, in other words, so performing an aria that swept everything before it would be the secret to carrying the night.
Pati won. Truth to tell, he was in obvious discomfort at times, but it didn't matter—the aria swept everything before it.

Regulars here will know that I use the term "filth" as a generic term for fashionable excrement, such as political correctness, Islamogoblinism, headbanging, pomowankery, the Greens, etc., and that I reserve the term "The Filth" for Obamarx in particular (I accept the criticism that my language is intemperate—it's outlandishly unfair to filth to liken it to Obamarx).

As the regulars here know, I have long harboured the fear that, thanks to Gramsci's Long March through the Culture, airheads now preponderate in America, with the election of The Filth in 2008 being my Exhibit A. If I'm right, of course, The Filth will be re-elected regardless of the fact that he's wrought evil and disaster (or, probably, because of that fact). This appalling possibility has now apparently dawned on Rush Limbaugh, who said today that while the country might survive four more years of Obamarx, it can't survive a preponderance of people moronic enough to re-elect him. "Obama is going after the moron vote," he said, clearly worried that the moron vote is now big enough to see The Filth returned:
