I've been out of town and out of touch. Still not back in harness, but I just caught up with Andrew Breitbart's death and wanted to mark the occasion immediately, albeit belatedly.

Paul: Exruciatingly incoherent as ever. I'm no Ronroid, as everyone here knows, but I wish he'd do better—it doesn't hurt to have the case for any kind of military presence overseas tested. Even I could put the Islamappeasers' case better than he. Best line was his first: "Because he's a fake" [of Rick Santorum].

SOLOists: you will have noticed a Goblian onslaught recently—ill-mannered Goblians disrespecting a site paid for by someone else (me) on which they're cordially invited to dissent, by simply posting their rubbish ad nauseam. The most prominent among these Appalachians—Barren Darren, Baade and Burnsinhell—have made an issue of the onus of proof.

SOLO-International Op-Ed: The Anti-American President, Pt 10—Obama the Smarmer
January 30, 2012
The brazen deceitfulness that pervaded President Obama's State of the Union address last week has been duly noted in the days since. Many commentators have wondered publicly what I asked incredulously of the innocent TV set privately: “How can you say that with a straight face?!”

Having endured several months of exposure to the [anti-]philosophy of blandification during my stint with ACT, and having campaigned for years against the insidious anti-KASS polemicizing of the lying Smearer-in-Chief who hovers on Objectivism's fringe attempting to destroy it by disarming it, I find moments like the following more than a breath of fresh air ... they are hurricanes of pure oxygen, and they are intoxicating.

One of the aspects of Fox News I enjoy is that it brings in commentators—and employs some full-time—who do not share its conservative editorial bent so that both sides of the conservative/liberal divide can have at it.
