Copyrights and SOLO Posts

Catching up today on everybody's posts I noticed we have had a few of the new folk post whole articles from other sites as posts onto our own site. This practice violates the content owner's copyright, even if you provide a link back to the site you got the content from.

Culture of the Offended

wngreen's picture
Submitted by wngreen on Mon, 2007-05-14 00:42.

Today Americans live in a culture where to be insulted is roughly equivalent to being assaulted. Provocative or unpopular speech has always received moral condemnation from the Political Correctness Police (PCP) but since Imus there has been blood in the water and an increasingly disturbing trend has developed.

Magic Musical Moment

Perfection is rare in the performing arts. This is why an amateur musician like myself seeks out performers whose performances leave us speechless. Several weeks ago I attended a great performance by the Canadian Brass. The French Horn player was both talented and handsome with a musical and stylistic range that was truly inspiring.

So here is the first, hopefully of many, posts on the most dangerous religious movement in modern times -- environmentalism and it's Gospel global warming.

Pelosi's Minimum Wage Flip-Flop

wngreen's picture
Submitted by wngreen on Mon, 2007-01-15 07:42.

Pelosi's Minimum Wage Flip-Flop is a great opportunity to point out the true consequences of minimum wage laws. Even the representatives from American Samoa have voiced their concerns. "The governor of American Samoa, Togiola Tulafono, stated that increasing the minimum wage 'would kill the economy,' and the Samoan congressional delegate, Eni Faleomavaega, said that it would devastate the local tuna industry." But worry not, after the jobs leave for cheaper labor on nearby islands, the federal government will gladly add more Samoans to the welfare rolls.

The Oppression of the Urinal

wngreen's picture
Submitted by wngreen on Sun, 2007-01-14 02:47.

From TownHall.com

NOW SIT, INGVAR

Young women in Sweden, Germany and Australia have a new cause: They want men to sit down while urinating. This demand comes partly from concerns about hygiene -- avoiding the splash factor -- but, as Jasper Gerard reports in the English magazine The Spectator, "more crucially because a man standing up to urinate is deemed to be triumphing in his masculinity, and by extension, degrading women."
