Popular Mechanics has an article on the Microsoft Surface - the next generation of computer interfaces. It's a multi-touch sensitive display (uses IR cameras to sense objects, gestures and touch; and rear projection for the display part) with a table-like form factor (so multi-user) - no mouse, no keyboard, no wires - that will be available with a price tag of $10K by the end of the year, and hopefully will get cheap enough to enter our homes by 2010.
