Russian Government Weaponry

The Russian government seems highly competent at making weapons which can slaughter millions of innocents. But how good is it at protecting individual rights?

Many will think that this blog entry's title is hyperbole. Before reaching such a conclusion consider the following news article from what's left of England. "Students" (more accurately, Moslem invaders) have erased Rudyard Kipling's "if" from a university wall where it had been recently posted.

Elan Journo is a fellow at the Ayn Rand Institute (ARI) and its resident foreign policy "expert." Last month Journo had a book published, What Justice Demands: America and the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. I haven't read it yet. Honestly, it will probably be some time before I bother.

New Zealand Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jaime Martin with Simon Trpčeski (piano).
Music by Shostakovich and Grieg.
Michael Fowler Centre, July 13.

The day after this concert I spoke at a pro-freedom of speech rally at Parliament. For me there was a synergy between these events. Freedom of artistic expression was unknown to Dmitri Shostakovich for most of his career.

Recovering gradually from an attack of something that left my legs useless and my mind in a hallucinatory realm for four days, an experience I would be hard put to describe even as a fairy tale (no, I do not use cannabis or any other brand of recreational drug), I am beginning to catch up with my emails and grasp the state of the world – where the Congressional hearings stand and how far Islam has progressed in the West (Islam, the West, and “progress” being mutually contradictory terms).

It doesn’t matter to liberals that something can be proved as right. In the liberal universe, right and wrong are not admissible concepts as opposites. Things are supposed to be what they want things to be, as this amusing but dead serious video dramatizes.
