New Zealand's premier Big Band were in outrageously good form in Wellington on Friday and Saturday nights. The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra's hallmark precision and passion, their flagrant virtuosity and sinful zest, were on such shameless display that one feared the arrival of some branch of the Fun Police.

I’ve lived in this country for 40-odd years, mostly in areas that would be called white middle-class suburbs. I went to a very middle-class girls’ high school and have held down jobs in a wide variety of fields of employment. I have a circle of friends from many different backgrounds, but never once have I met someone who could truly be called a flat-out racist, i.e, someone who really hates people of a different ethnicity.

The Filth Go After Kenneth Clark and Civilisation

Grant Jones's picture
Submitted by Grant Jones on Sat, 2018-05-05 00:57

Kenneth Clark (1903-1983) was an eminent, British art historian and museum curator. His most well-known work is the landmark documentary series Civilisation that was aired on the BBC in 1969. He sub-titled the documentary - and the companion book that followed - as "A Personal View." His concentration is on the visual arts that was his forte. He also emphasizes the deep connection between art and religion during most the time-frame covered in the book and documentary.

Make Western Civilisation Great Again!

Lindsay Perigo's picture
Submitted by Lindsay Perigo on Thu, 2016-12-29 04:25

Undeniably, the biggest events of 2016, seismic in their enormity, were Brexit and the election of Donald Trump. Because of those two events, for the first time in eight years we could say that Western Civilisation had rallied to mount a rearguard action against The Anti-West, aka Islamo-Marxism, aka The Filth. The latter were in pouting, infantile retreat, alternately sullen and hysterical, unable to comprehend that the seeming hegemony of their loathsome, totalitarian world view was not invincible after all.

... In the 1989 Post profile Perigo expressed concerns about the depth of debate he was able to elicit on television: "we’ve become a sort of society where people don't analyse an argument: they attach brandnames to people who proffer arguments and think that they’ve dealt with the argument that way". In 1993 he infamously abandoned the medium, claiming that TVNZ news and current affairs was "braindead", and that stories of celebrities and trapped cats had superseded politics.

Review: Pamela Geller, Fatwa: Hunted in America, 2017

Grant Jones's picture
Submitted by Grant Jones on Mon, 2017-12-11 01:40

On 3 May 2015 freeborn Americans held a "Draw Mohammed" contest and free-speech rally in Garland, Texas. The event was organized by Pamela Geller. It was her response to the Charlie Hebdo massacre in Paris and previous cartoon jihads. The event was attacked by two freelance jihadists with connections to ISIS. Fortunately, it was only the jihadists who died that day. Security was solid, despite the Obama FBI's refusal to notify event planners of their information regarding the planned attack. In response to this jihad attack on American soil, the media blamed the victims and poorly hid their disappointment that Geller wasn't killed.
