I'm looking forward to Peter Jackson's remake of the 1933 classic King Kong. From an architectural point of view it'll be a blast to see state of the art CGI renderings of 1930s midtown Manhattan. As well as Kong's climb up the Empire State, I hope we see some good fly-bys of other midtown icons like Chrysler & RCA (now GE). New York circa 1930s has been a real favourite of mine ever since I first saw the photography of Lewis Hine & Berenice Abbott. Here's the movie promo still (recognise Kong's seat?):
