Dick Morris

I'm a bit of a lurker on SOLO, in fact I haven't posted anything of my own for nearly four years. I'm spending most of my time these days on a rock in the Indian Ocean owned by Australia called Christmas Island, working as doctor at the medical clinic in the immigration detention centre (or concentration camp as some see it). As I still believe that one legitimate function of government is protecting its people from an influx of terrorists and criminals, I have no qualms about working over here. The outrageously leftist media in Australia, of course, condemn the work of their immigration department and the stakeholders contracted to them who assist in managing the detention centres. All I can say is don't believe everything you read, but you knew that already.

Anyway, due to a relative lack of entertainment options here, I spend a lot of time watching YouTube videos, and have recently become a fan of Dick Morris who was very close to Bill Clinton during his years as Arkansas governor and during his early years as President. To my surprise, Dick hates socialism with a passion (though he supports a welfare safety net), and despises Hillary Clinton, Obama, the Democrats in general and even most of Bill Clinton's activities nowadays. He is also a huge fan of Trump!

Do any of you listen to his daily reports? Thankfully for those with short attention spans, almost all his videos are less than eight minutes long. Many of them are concerned with American history, which I find particularly fascinating.

For any who haven't already visited Dick's YouTube channel, the link below is a sample - Dick's analysis of Trumps glorious victory last year. I agree with him about 90% of the time, which is good enough for me given his insider understanding of the Beltway in general and the Clinton crime family in particular. His one well-known significant blooper was predicting a Romney landslide in 2012, but he wouldn't have been the only one. Dick is well-educated, articulate, a gentleman, and seems to be enjoying the Trump presidency:

Incidentally, I sometimes wonder whether I'm a little strange, as even a year on I still get a thrill watching video footage of election night 2016, especially the Fox coverage where there was a cheering, wildly excited mob of Trump supporters within earshot of the studio. And yes, Trump is no libertarian, but if he can significantly damage the Republican/Democratic duopoly he will have done America a great service.
