Saint-Saëns' breath-taking, KASS Fifth Concerto, a triumph of life-affirmation. Called "Egyptian," but really more Spanish, and even more ... Quintessentially Human ... an emphatic, universal "No!" to headbanging caterwauling, nihilism, death-worship and The Filth:

A new concerto for me...

It's stunning. So loaded with gorgeous melodies - and happiness. My favourite Saint-Saens is his Second Concerto in G minor which is sweeping, dramatic melancholy. This one is sweeping, dramatic joy.

Second movement is absolutely exquisite! I wanted it to go on forever, so I kept rewinding the clip. Smiling
