US Army soldier, Private Bowe Bergdahl, disappeared into the Afghanistani wilderness in June of 2009. He was missing for the next four weeks until the Taliban released videos of Bergdahl being held in their custody, thus signifying his capture.

Before he disappeared from his base, Bergdahl had his computer mailed back to his parent’s house in the United States. In his last email to his parents he wrote:

“mom, dad…
The future is too good to waste on lies…and life is way too short to care for the damnation of others, as well as to spend it helping fools with their ideas that are wrong… I have seen their ideas and I am ashamed to even be american… The horror of the self-righteous arrogance that they thrive in… It is all revolting…The system is wrong…I am ashamed to be an american… And the title of US soldier is just the lie of fools… The US army is the biggest joke the world has to laugh at. It is the army of liars, backstabbers, fools, and bullies. The horror that is america is disgusting. There are a few more boxes coming to you guys. Feel free to open them, and use them.”

His father, Bob Bergdahl, responded by email:

“OBEY YOUR CONSCIENCE!
Dear Bowe, In matters of life and death, and especially at war, it is never safe to ignore ones’ conscience. Ethics demands obedience to our conscience. It is best to also have a systematic oral defense of what our conscience demands. Stand with like minded men when possible. Dad.”

In an effort to get Bergdahl back, the US Army conducted significant search and recovery operations in which men lost their lives https://www.thedailybeast.com/... and others received horrific injuries which ruined their military careers. Bergdahl’s platoon comrades asserted that, after his desertion and capture, there was a dramatic increase in operational attacks by the Taliban on US forces. They believe Bergdahl gave useful information to a brutal and ferocious enemy. Bergdahl claimed that he was kidnapped, his brothers-in-arms claimed he deserted.

In 2014, after Bergdahl had been with the Taliban for five years as a P.O.W., President Obama negotiated for his release in exchange for the Taliban Five detained in GITMO. Breaking the rule of ‘no negotiation with terrorists’ and also by-passing the lawful permission required from his own Congress, Obama handed over five top Taliban leaders into the oversight of Qatari officials, knowing full well that the Taliban had political offices in Qatar. When criticised for this action just after the transfer, Obama responded:

“I wouldn’t be doing it if I thought that it was contrary to American national security. And we have confidence that we will be in a position to go after them if, in fact, they are engaging in activities that threaten our defences.”

Obama had his then National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, be circulated around on media shows to make the statement that: https://nypost.com/2017/10/16/...

“Bergdahl served the United States with honour and distinction.”

During Bergdahl’s court-martial on November 3, 2017, he pleaded guilty to desertion and misbehaviour before an enemy. He was sentenced to be dishonourably discharged.

The Taliban Five are now working actively for the terror organisation, which, given their staunch orthodox interpretation of Islam and their connections to Al Qaeda heads, like the late Osama bin Laden, resembles to many a grave problem for peace negotiations with Kabul and a direct threat to US forces. Some of these men were in top leadership positions when they ruled from Kabul before the US intervention after 9.11 forced them to flee.

It is obvious that once again the anti-American President Obama acted against the security interests of his own country while he was Commander-in-Chief.
