To all the wine connoisseurs: Does someone know of a 2001 Chardonnay Macon Villages from Georges Duboeuf? Picked one up, loved it, forget where I got it and haven't managed to find it on the Web or anywhere else.

Falanghina Campi Flegrei
Mr. Machan,I will ask my distributor to look for the wine you have mentioned.
BTW, I am from Naples, Italy, I suggest you to try a 2003 Villa Carafa, Falanghina Campi Flegrei.
This grape is grown on vulcanic soil which gives the quince and apricot and deeply smoky taste
to this great wine. This wine has also been suggeted in the 2006 wine guide.
Another wine I like very much, is a Vermentino, Casa Silente from Sardinia.
Ciao. Ciro
ps.
One last thing, do you know that California is second to none about chardonnay wines?
Macon Villages from Georges Duboeuf?
http://www.winezap.com/Duboeuf-Georges-Macon-Villages/0/3919
lists several of unknown vintage - if you insist on 2001, call some of the vendors on the list and ask what vintages they have.
Context matters. Seldom does *anything* have only one cause.
No help here
Can't find it either - although I can recommend http://www.nickollsandperks.co.uk if you're looking for a special bottle of something
