It looks like Kansas has regained its sanity!

Yay!

This article on msnbc explains how a coalition of moderate conservatives and democrats took control of the Kansas school-board and are taking out all the not-so-intelligent design crap.

To quote:

"The board on Tuesday removed language suggesting that key evolutionary concepts — such as a common origin for all life on Earth and change in species creating new ones — were controversial and being challenged by new research. Also approved was a new definition of science, specifically limiting it to the search for natural explanations of what is observed in the universe." [emphasis mine]

How cool is that?

Laughing out loud

How can there be intelligent

How can there be intelligent design? Crabs walk sideways!

Simply silly sensationalism...

I didn't think that the entire state of Kansas had decided to eschew the irrational.

How very vigorous to view first-hand the valiant vision, victory and veracity of voting.

Clever title Melissa, but

Clever title Melissa, but there is still some religious rampaging going on in Kansas, just not over this issue. Some regional religious Republicans repeatedly rage regarding a “right to life” for the unborn.

There is good reason the Kansas school board is getting rid of the “not-so-intelligent design” crap. The previous board members that supported this crap were overwhelmingly voted out of office by people like me and all my friends. We identified all of the “ID” supporters on the board and voted for their opponents. Now those cognitively challenged creatures are gone. Ha Ha! Sometimes voting does actually work.
