Unless I hear from a bunch of people today or tomorrow, I am going to book the conference at a cool house in Atlantic Station (nice downtown location). It only sleeps 10-12, but others can crash on the floor, on air mattresses, couches, etc for a better price. Or they can stay in very nearby hotels. There are three bedrooms (Aaron and I have claimed one, Lindsay another, and the last one has two twin beds.) Those who get better accomodations will naturally pay more of the shared cost. This conference will be cheap. Basically, we will split the cost of the house (about $350 a night plus a $100 deposit) based on the number of people coming and how nice each person's accomodations are. Then I will tack on a little extra to buy some food and alcohol to have in the house. Then we will each pay for our own food, alcohol, etc throughout the weekend except for the basic stuff I'll get for the house. Like a bunch of friends getting together to hang out and going dutch. If you are planning on coming and these plans don't suit you, let me know. Let me know if they do suit you too. For the very cash strapped, I might be able to find local places you can crash for free with some of my Objectivist gang. If you are planning on staying in a hotel, I will get a list of the nearest ones. Unless I am flooded by interest in the next two days, I will go for awesome location and all of us together, rather than extra beds.
