SOLO Pilot Podcast #3Submitted by SOLO Podcasts on Sun, 2007-07-15 09:44
"Why can't I buy as much water as I can afford, and use it for whatever purpose I wish?" "If I want to spend my money on petrol, and drive around aimlessly burning it, no law stops me and private enterprises builds more infrastructure (roads) to help me do so." "If I want to spend my money on an air-conditioner and run it night and day, no law stops me and private enterprise builds more infrastructure (generators) to help me do so." "If I want to water my flowers or wash my car with a hose the Government forbids it, and refuses to build enough infrastructure to let me choose how to spend my money on a renewable resource." —Prof Robin Shaw, Deakin University, Australia On this SOLO podcast we explore the crisis that is water management. Why is it such a mess, especially in Australia? Listen to the show to find out. "Mr Baconpants"
Thanks, J.
Yes, I know the guy. We were going to do the podcast together earlier this year but decided to go our seperate ways. He did the one you link to, I took up the SOLO Pilot.
Moseley is a bit more relaxed and...intermediate...for my preference. Nice bloke though, with odd notions about bacon.
ps I managed to put this podcast on Youtube but I'm annoyed we've been unable to network it to Itunes etc as yet
FYI
A friend passed along this oist podcast to me today. Haven't had a chance to listen, but it might be worth a peek.

I admit that reason is a small and feeble flame, a flickering torch by stumblers carried in the starless night, -- blown and flared by passion's storm, -- and yet, it is the only light. Extinguish that, and nought remains.- - Robert Green Ingersoll
