After a great movie like Letters from Iwo Jima, The Chocolate War seemed kind'a lame. However, it was about a boy who stood up to the informal organization within a Catholic school which tried to pressure him. He was a little like Howard Roark from The Fountainhead. He had integrety.

A twist of fate, at the end, allowed the bad kid to get his come-upance, but the good kid still wonders if he did the right thing.

Oh well.
