New bike - Cagiva Mito 125Submitted by Duncan Bayne on Sat, 2007-07-21 10:25.
So I have a new bike - or at least I will when I go and pick it up on Tuesday. It's a 125cc two-stroke Italian sports-bike, not exactly fast (160km/h top speed) but handles like a dream courtesy quality suspension, frame & brakes and incredibly light weight. It should allow me to cut through the traffic (current commute is around 1hr 10m each way) and will be a blast on track days and country roads ...

Thanks It is a lot of fun
Thanks
It is a lot of fun - even more nimble & better handling than any previous bike I've owned, which is saying something as that lineup includes a '92 TZR-250 and a 2000 GSXR-600.
Only catch is, when I had the factor derestriction kit fitted (taking it from a weedy 18HP to a manly 25HP in one go) they fitted a dead carb ... meaning that it's been in the shop for the last six weeks waiting for parts that appear to be coming on the slow-boat from Italy. Latest gossip is that they plan to scavenge a bike in the warehouse for parts ... hopefully will be hearing back about that today.
I'm really hanging out for it actually - sunny days, dry roads, warm weather ... perfect for taking the Mito out to the local track for a ride day & seeing how it goes.

Good looking bike!
Congratulations on the new cycle. It looks spry and lightweight. I haven't had a motorcycle in years, and I envy you your fun to follow! But take care, and watch our for the other guy!
