Syd Jackson has died. He was a smart alec Maori Communist who caused all manner of discord in New Zealand society for a long period of time. Like all these people he came up with an inaccurate list of imaginary 'grievances', played on the gullibility of many New Zealanders, and got to work causing trouble. His main 'grievance' was the Maori language was dying, and with it the people would die. This risible claim never held much credibility when analysed...(so naturally it caught on very quickly and became 'Conventional Wisdom' before long)...and we saw various Labour Governments initiating silly Maori Language programmes serving no purpose. Jackson was also an advocate of 'tino rangatiratanga' which is the Maori term for... "I want to enslave you and control your lives, but that may frighten you so I will call it 'self determination' bro". I see in the article link his body will be taken to Hastings for burial, which seems rather silly to me...a more fitting burial would be to put him in one of those sewerage pipes and flush his corpse out into the Harbour to rot. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1/story.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10461545 Now all we need is Sharples, Harawira (all of them), Walker, Turia, Mccarten and all the rest of these smart arsed Maori scum to drop dead.

Another Douglas Graham story
I had a friend whose father was on the Selection Committee that first selected Doug Graham as the National candidate for Remuera, thus guaranteeing him a job and a pension for life.
He told me his father came home fuming that it was always said National could win in Remuera if they put up a donkey as their candidate, "and that's pretty much what we're doing this year."

Here is an amusing story
I live in Remmers
and it is amazing how poorly regarded Doug Graham is.
I was at a dinner party earlier in the year, where several of the guests were National party chaps, and the discussion moved onto MPs and one National chap (aged about 80) was rattling off names of MPs "...Algie, Highet, Fletcher, Hide ...oh..and..ummmmm...errrrm...Doug" (he almost spat out the name)
The problem wasn't Jackson et al.
It was the pragmatic pricks and hand-wringing liberals who threw money and legislation at the half-arsed ideas he spouted in exchange for votes and chardonnay-socialist mana.
I've got no problem with legitimate claims over discrimination and land-theft being sorted out in a court of law.
It's this extra-legal Waitangi Tribunal nonsense that poisoned the country. That and the bloody 'cradle to the grave' State-welfare Jackson et al. embrace. For although they lobbied for each of these abominations and more, Jackson et al. didn't bring them into being.
I'll celebrate the demise of useful idiots like Lord Montrose of Drury (aka Sir Douglas Graham) and his ilk on the Labour side of the debating chamber far more. Jackson et al. are only guilty of being true to their own deranged commie philosophy.
The politicians are the ones who deserve to be flushed into the harbour.
