Bollinger KASSes! Ahmadinejad humiliated!Submitted by Daniel Walden on Mon, 2007-09-24 22:28.
I don't know how many of you watched the coverage of Ahmadinejad's speech at Columbia today, but the murderous bastard himself wasn't the main event. Lee Bollinger, President of Columbia University, was scheduled to introduce Ahmadinejad, but the introduction he made was not what one would expect from a slimy pomo-wanker. It rapidly became clear that "understanding" in the conventional spineless liberal sense was not what Ahmadinejad had been invited to promote. Bollinger delivered one of the finest public floggings that I have ever seen or heard of. Here are some choice extracts: On Ahmadinejad in general: On his Holocaust denial: On Ahmadinejad's upcoming address: I'll be raising a glass to President Bollinger this evening. I fully admit to having harbored an opinion of him that was, to say the least, quite low. But he did this country and all of academia proud today. I'll be posting a YouTube link as soon as the speech comes up. P.S. Bollinger's introduction is up on YouTube. Part 1 and Part 2. P.P.S. Quotations edited for accuracy.

The Kenny Coates Crowd ...
.... fault Bollinger for his "schoolyard taunts" against Ahmadinejad. Mustn't be rude to Adolf, must we?!
KASS?!
I am with Chris and Linz: it was wrong to invite that monster to speak in the first place, and nothing said in an introduction can mitigate the deed. Bollinger is the lowest kind of coward there is -- one who KNOWS he's giving a platform to a murderous dictator, gives it to him anyway, and then tries to appease his critics by claiming that such "free speech" advances the quest for truth in some pomo-wankish way that he's not too clear about.
Since when does free speech include the necessity of giving any thug a microphone and a soapbox?
This sure ain't the Columbia of Barzun and Randall, is it?
But, heck, the Bush Administration is enjoying a nice, friendly chat with these savages while our young soldiers are being maimed for life and killed by Iranian IEDs, so why not Columbia U.?
The Tale of Two Blondes
It may rub some of you the wrong way but I'll put my objective assessment like this:
I wasn't especially impressed by the first video; she came across as a little ditzy and constantly reminds the viewer of Ann Coulter (read: not hot).
The second video is thorough bitch-on-wheels take-no-prisoners smash-em-up KASSing. The chick-on-chick action shall proceed with no further delay.
"Alright you little fuckin' smartasses out there...."
The dumb blonde tells it like it is again!
Message to American Retards
PS I'd definitely do her!
PPS: See Daniel, she's right... I don't think Ahmadinejad was humiliated at all.
Hot Blonde
Did you notice that there were 37 ratings and that the average rating rating was one, thats got to be a good sign
Context?
I've just watched that clip again, and was wondering on context (the problem with YouTube is it doesn't supply same). Looks too slick to be a oncer, does anybody know if she has other content on the Internet?
(She looks a bit like Ann Coulter, but certainly not her).
Lovely clip. Quote:"The pen
Lovely clip Claudia. Quote:"The pen is only mightier than the sword, if the sword is not stabbing you in the back"; per my post on another thread, that is, I think, the biggest mistake Bollinger has made in his (lack of) reasoning.
And oh, of course I can't miss that 'other' element, vis a vis, the subject of 'doing': I'm ex-exclusive brethren, so can rationally sniff out the God Freaks pretty well, and I'd put money on it she ain't one. Her use of 'faith' is being used to advance her argument only, setting up Ahmadinejad's faith in his medieval beliefs, for her later comments. If she were a Christian, with that language she could only be of the Red Neck variety, and no red neck could talk about homosexuality without the gritted teeth showing through: and they would never defend it, as that would mean burning in hell for all eternity (indeed, only the Anglican's could hope to get away with that).
But as I am also a prude (albeit a scruffy prude ), I shall have to beg off any further comment on matters voyeuristic
I wonder I could get that lady up for the local body elections? Christchurch needs her.
Haha! My grandmother was a
Haha! My grandmother was a devout catholic, her favourite "cuss word" was "ginger rivers!"
Oh dear.
Yes well, there are christians and then there are catholics!! She should just get it over with and beat god into him.. she's close.
But my ballsy blonde is no christian - I can tell. Christians don't publicly cuss like that if they know everyone is gonna see it. They're second-handers! And most of them couldn't give a rat's arse what horrors may befall homosexuals. In the Old Testament, they were stoned remember for being dirty little fecks.
I don't think she's a
I don't think she's a christian... they are usually not that comfortable with using cuss words like asshole, goddamn, fucking etc.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P8Aq00yJSxo Ooooh I don't know about that...
The "lack of faith" thing makes me think she is. Good on her but.
Wayne
Of course you can't watch!! What do you think I am - a total slapper?? (Don't answer that please Linz!)
I don't think she's a christian... they are usually not that comfortable with using cuss words like asshole, goddamn, fucking etc.
I agree that Bollinger didn't slam Mamoud at all.
Absolutely agree with Chris
Absolutely agree with Chris and Linz. Nothing positive could have ever come of providing this evil maggot with a microphone. He didn't listen (never came to listen) and no-one learnt anything from the exercise.
Freedom of speech is important. However advocates of free speech must still decide if offering a mircophone to an enemy undermines the cause for freedom under which freedom of speech breathes. This was absolutely one of those occasions.
This was a traitorous act as is any act which undermines the actions of those fighing those Islamists who would seek to destroy our way of life. That includes the Democrats et al.
Julian
Claudia says she'd do her!
Can I watch?
A hot blonde with a mind, a rare combination. Wasn't sure what to make of her comment on Lee Bollinger's lack of faith. If one were to inquire further would we find out that she was a Christian? Of course I agree with her position and all the great comments made here by the "KASS" crowd. No matter what, Ahmadinejad's speech at Columbia University was a small victory for the Jihadists.
Yes!!!!!!!
That dumb blonde would turn ME straight. At last, someone over there in pussy-land (double meaning intended) who'll call a traitor a traitor.
What a refreshing change after traitor Kenny, traitor Dem-scum, traitor Hsiekovians and all the rest of the yellow-bellied treasonist sods.
Great
Now you're gonna get us all worked up.
KASS blonde babe!
This is who they should've unleashed on Ahmadinejad. Out of the mouths of blondes.
A Message to Lee Bollinger
P.S... I'd do her.
Thank you Suma.
Thank you Suma.
Regarding Bollinger, I think this situation is doubly dangerous, as given Iran has no freedom of the press (obviously), the Columbia footage will be edited for home viewing to augment Ahmadinejad's position.
It's a disaster all round, this one.
I am pleasantly surprised
I expected much worse. A is A. If Bollinger was KASS, he would not have invited Ahmadinejad in the first place.
I hope this public humiliation snowballs to have positive outcomes. I see two possibilities: (1) Ahmadinejad gets into hot water over this episode with the mullahs, and secular(?) Iranians trying to overthrow the regime get a bit of a moral boost, (2) Other evil Hitler wannabes will think twice before accepting an invitation from a US university.
Mark: I think KASS is Kick ASS. I have seen it used as a noun and verb and adjective though.
[Query: it's probably on
[Query: it's probably on here somewhere, but I can't find it: KASS - acronym for what please?]
the real wake-up call that's needed
Sandi: I can not disagree with your passionate choice of words Lindsay, however Bollinger's choice of words are liberal fixes, amphetamines for the mind, the wake up call that is so desperately needed. And if this is what it takes to wake up the students of America, then I can live with that.
There is no wake-up call, other than that which involves not inviting this scum to speak at your forum, and understanding why you don't invite him to begin with. Once you make the unKASS move of inviting him in, there's nothing you can do to truly KASS things up in its wake. Bollinger's "stern" comments to Adolf Ahmadejihad only served to reconfirm that. It only reconfirms that he hasn't a grasp on his preached principles.
The real wake-up call involves recognizing that in conducting a mutual exchange of ideas in the spirit of free and open inquiry, it takes two to tango. The opponent here doesn't in fact accept those principles, so what kind of self-delusion and bad faith, or just plain old context-oblivious academic mush-mindery, must it take to engage such an intellectual-freedom-squasher under the pretense of honest dialogue? It turns the whole exercise into a farce. Adolf would just as soon lay the infidel Bollinger to the sword if he could.
It matters not a stinking whit WHAT Bollinger said, given what he DID.
cock and bull-inger
What Bollinger said about Ahmadinejad was nothing more than damage control for his idiotic decision to let this tyrant spout lies and evil at Columbia University. He realizes that this invitation he fawned for one of the planets meanest tyrants is going to screw that University in a lot of ways. His statements are true about Ahmadinejad, but were disingenuous. Bollinger has no KASS.
Kassless Delivery Maybe
But this man passionately defending the right to free speech may very well be hiding out with a Swiss cartoonist next week.
I can not disagree with your passionate choice of words Lindsay, however Bollinger's choice of words are liberal fixes, amphetamines for the mind, the wake up call that is so desperately needed. And if this is what it takes to wake up the students of America, then I can live with that.
Stoop shouldered,
Stoop shouldered, stammering, hand wringing, podium leaning, KASSless delivery to boot.
Should have been shoulders back, head high, either gesture meaningfully or keep your hands still, and rehearse your speech well enough that notes are just prompts.
I do question the notion, which comes much later in the speech, that most people in Iran are "sensible." I would be willing to give its secular Persian population the benefit of the doubt, but certainly the Islamic population (which rules the country) is so far from "sensible" that they hardly know the meaning of the word. Agreed.
I say that Bollinger KASSed because he called Ahmadinejad what he is. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck....
But he didn't really did he? He gave either/ors or that Ahmadinejad seemed to be...
"If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck it seems to exhibit all the qualities of a duck."
Yes ...
Nothing less than "unadulterated, irredeemable evil" would have done for me. "You, Mr. President, are an unspeakably evil, sub-human entity—next to your soulmate bin Laden THE most evil in the world right now" would have begun to mollify me.
Bollinger gives the impression he'd rather not be saying even what he is saying, rushing through it, stumbling repeatedly and trying to quell applause. Did he have a plane to catch?
Ordinarily I'd enthusiastically endorse Bollinger's rationale for inviting the maggot to speak. But this maggot is a vile dictator whose country is at war with Bollinger's and is killing Bollinger's countrymen. That's not free speech, it's treason.
I've just seen the vermin saying Iran doesn't have gays. I guess that's because they've all been hanged.
Daniel, Daniel, Daniel
"I say that Bollinger KASSed because he called Ahmadinejad what he is. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck...."
I'll finish it for you:
. . . you leave the duck in the pond where it belongs, not invite it into your living room, pretend that it's just like the rest of us humans, and let it shit there.
How would inviting Hitler to come speak on your campus be different, Daniel? Does it make sense to appeal to the spirit of free and open inquiry to invite someone like that, or are there limits defined by the spirit itself?
correct, Lance
It wasn't KASS, it was pomo-speak, and the very act of inviting him and giving him an open stage on his own turf speaks the most volumes about the KASSlessness involved.
"Brazenly provocative or astonishingly uneducated." -- No place for straightforward moral judgment there, hmmm? The President of Iran is just an ignoramus or provocateur, but let's not, out of the spirit of open inquiry and tolerance, make any inferences that he's beneath addressing in a civil fashion, or, gasp, EVIL.
"Petty and cruel." What about EVIL?
Daniel, it sounds like your previous estimate of CU's president may not have been far off. Sounds like a mush-mind KASSless academic.
I think the redemption starts near the beginning.
His opening remarks, directed at the student body and at those who, like myself, didn't want Ahmadinejad even in the country, admittedly set me on edge. Clearly, the man carries mixed premises, and I unhesitatingly agree that those are defects. However, he recognizes evil when he sees it. His use of "know thine enemy" shows that he's under no illusions about the moral standing of the Iranian government. I do question the notion, which comes much later in the speech, that most people in Iran are "sensible." I would be willing to give its secular Persian population the benefit of the doubt, but certainly the Islamic population (which rules the country) is so far from "sensible" that they hardly know the meaning of the word.
I say that Bollinger KASSed because he called Ahmadinejad what he is. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck....
The man's got his own problems, certainly, and I still don't believe that Ahmadinejad should have been invited in the first place. But I'm pretty happy with what happened to him nonetheless.
I am Stunned
Yes Daniel, I agree with you, it was a great public flogging and the degree of such was something quite unexpected.
He redeems himself a bit at
He redeems himself a bit at the end of that clip.
"Today I feel all the weight of the modern civilized world yearning to express the revulsion at what you stand for. I only wish I could do better."
So do I mate, so do I.
US
Presidential Candidate, Senator B. Hussein Obama has come out and said he is prepared to meet with the President of Persia, should he be elected US President.
What a disgrace from the Dem-Scum!
A more sensible course of action is to liberate Persia from these mad mullah chaps.
Perhaps I will get a
Perhaps I will get a different impression from watching video coverage, but those quotes I read as written in a yahoo news article came across as limp wristed and KASSless.
"You exhibit all the qualities of a cruel and petty dictator."-KASSless
"You ARE a cruel and petty dictator and murderer."-KASS
"I can only conclude that you are either brazenly provocative or astonishingly uneducated."-KASSless
"It is plainly obvious that your denial of the holocaust is about furthering your own anti-Israel agenda and not rooted in academic study or a desire for truth."-KASSer
