Lanza and Montessori HonouredSubmitted by Lindsay Perigo on Sun, 2007-09-30 02:21
October, 2007, is Atlas Month. It's also, apparently, Italian-American Heritage Month! 31 Italians will be honoured, one for each day of the month, including Maria Montessori and Mario Lanza.

Palladio
Not quite. Although his Villa Rotondo is splendid -- a great expression of Renaissance values.
It was so good, Thomas Jefferson pinched it for his own house.
But too static for moi. And too classical.
He's one of the classicists to whom Roark's opponents were still in thrall five-hundred years later, and who unwittingly helped kill Henry Cameron. Hardly his fault, of course, but it does take off a few points.
Cheers, Peter Cresswell

No Palladio ...
... in your list, PC?
Bravo!
You've got to love those Italians. Toscanini, Caruso, Enrico Fermi, Christopher Columbus ... and Montessori and Lanza.
What a fantastic tribute.
Cheers, Peter Cresswell
