In England, things are moving to some integration balancing the cultural grouping, freedoms but with the responsibilities, and more action taken against pro-terrorist law breakers.

Early days, but do not give up yet!

...but I am skeptical that England and European western powers have the ideas in place with which to combat the spread. Ideas are the start of it all, and the prevalent ideas right now seems to be multiculturalism (i.e., Western Culture BAD, others GOOD). Guaranteeing non-native populations their freedom to do whatever they choose seems to be a highly held value, even when doing so violates the law. I disagree with it, don't understand it, but there's no requirement that I do. It is what it is.

Fallaci was a very interesting woman who lived through interesting times. She is one of those gone who I would have liked to have had a long conversation with.

I guess I'd have more hope if more people saw Islam for the threat it is. But even Objectivists on this site seem to avoid understanding what Islam really is.
