Even though I very much enjoy the posts by the Solo guests, they take place in the house of Lindsay Perigo which has now repeatedly proven to be bully of the worst kind.

Not being true to yourself has been a reason for Lindsay to disconnect Solo members from their peers yet it is Lindsay himself who firmly believes that reason free personal abuse equates passion. I believe that is called emotional ranting and bullying.

I believe his behaviour is unacceptable and in fact I think it is Lindsay who should be told he is no longer welcome on this site. Yet it is his site so there is only one cause of action. I will have to leave and deny myself the great articles and insights of the rational Solo members.

The best way to defuse a bully is by stopping to give him any attention. As good or worthless as my posts are, I have removed them from this site as I no longer wish to contribute to the bully's powers.

It is not the message but the way the message is delivered that is the problem, only very thick skinned people can survive the abuse that goes around on this site. Abuse which I think is counter productive to the aim and credo of Solo Passion.

If I recall correctly, the

If I recall correctly, the provisional tax system was set up because a number of small companies went bust after being hit by an end-of-year tax bill that was larger than they could afford.

Just like in the wild, the most successful parasites avoid killing their hosts.

have been thinking about Mr Kingrandor and his comments...

There is no such thing as a 'tax cheat' ...that is a bit like saying a chap with a burglar alarm is a 'thief cheat'

On the subject of Enron...that was a lot of nonsense, a lot of trumped up charges against innocent men, including causing the premature death of poor old Ken Lay.

As I said earlier, the NZ tax department signed off on an extensive audit, accepted the accuracy of various documents Eye and yes..gosh...a clean bill of health Smiling
...(so I rather resent the suggestion of dishonesty)

February to September the tax department was conducting an intensive audit on me and my companies, in response to 16 years in business yet not a single dollar in taxes paid during that time. Sticking out tongue

In the end they gave me a clean bill of health, and accepted the accuracy of tax returns and the books. Eye

Yeh...I believe Enron tried

Yeh...I believe Enron tried that....and so did another tax cheat..his name was Al Capone. Sorry, it doesn't work that well.

So THAT'S your secret for true freedom outside the US...being a total bullshit artist! I figured you at least had something more honest, to work around it..like....offshore accounts or Swiss bank accounts. Seriously- c'mon dude.

do not mean to state the obvious Eye...

But why use an Accountant? he will probably be called Cyril, wears walkshorts and cardigans and will ensure you pay and pay and pay.

You should do the books and tax returns yourself, just make the figures up and continue making losses! Smiling

Not only that but there are 1001 ways to not be a taxpayer both personally and your Company, so much so I am simply astounded any self employed chap pays a cent!
