Hello, and welcome back to SOLO Music, part Deux.

The site changes were rather sudden for me, so I am going to rethink the concept of the forum in regards to the changes that have been made. As far as SOLO is concerned, the overall goal will be one of furthering our understanding of music and its powerful pull over the mind. Personally, my approach is more general, allowing the individual to apply ideas to their own musical favorites. Having said that, I'd love to hear from those interested in the forum in what they'd like to see or experience. Some of the topics may be too indepth for the non-practicing musician, and I'd like to make the forum more friendly for everyone's involvement.

We all have our preferences style wise, but I'd like to keep the focus off of right/wrong music and more along the lines of how to better appreciate music and what it can do for us. Most of all, it shouldn't be a place to create animosity, but to share the power of music. Think of it like the cooking forum: Cooking is has no specific relation to Objectivism, but an objective approach can lead to better recipes, better flavors, and a good meal is part of the celebration of life that Objectivism promotes. The same for music. Ayn Rand did not believe in Objectivist art or music, but we can approach them with an objective ear and eye to further the sense of life we want to experience.
