Jesus H Mohammed! No matter how hard I try I can't seem to get on this list. Even this Tui Beer poster I wrote back in Christmas '99 for their "Yeah right" campaign hardly got a rise out of our local god-fearing umbrage-takers. If the insinuation of Mary's bestial inclinations doesn't mess with their mass, what will?

Now, just in time for Noel, The Times Online presents The Blasphemy Collection, the top 20 deity-defying acts of the last 100 years that have thoroughly riled the religionists. Interestingly, while the Muslims hold three of the top five places of the most offended, they only make second place in the final tally:

Christians: 12
Muslims: 6
Buddhists: 1
Scientologists: 1

The most significant factor in the rating system is the death toll, and on that score the Muslims lead 140 to Nil...!!!

Yes, but the difference is, Glenn, there will be a sizeable number of Moslems who will be wanting to execute the perpetrators of the given blasphemies, whereas the Christian community will just be a bit inwardly pissed off.
