The official word is that he was rear-ended at a stop light on Wednesday by someone going approxomately 35mph. He had his arm sticking out, and his injuries were an arm broken between the shoulder and elbow, a number of bones around the eyes and nose were broken as well.

He said it was scary at first since there was a lot of blood, but he sounded like he was in good shape when I talked to him, even working in a couple jokes for good measure.

As far as ETA on a return, he was told he couldn't even think about work until after the new year. He also has some facial reconstruction surgury scheduled for next Wednesday (he wanted me to mention he's going for an upgrade so he gave the surgeons a photo of Linz), but beyond that he's going to be pretty doped up for a while, but will do his best to make a speedy and full recovery.
