Quote of the Day: 'Time' Turns TraitorSubmitted by administrator on Wed, 2008-04-23 23:19.
“We never cease to be amazed by the inability of the left to feel shame and its lack of reverence for America and those who defend its freedoms, including the right to be stupid. The cover of the April 21 issue of Time, taking the famous Joe Rosenthal photo of Marines planting our flag on the blood-soaked island of Iwo Jima and replacing our flag with a tree, qualifies for obscenity of the year. It echoes the greenie theme first advanced by Al Gore in his book Earth In The Balance that the internal combustion engine is the greatest threat in the history of mankind. Gore and Bill Clinton have both said that global warming is ultimately a greater threat than terrorism... This trivializing of the sacrifice of American blood and treasure to defend freedom ignores the fact that in World War II we faced a real enemy with a terrible agenda. The bombs that fell on Pearl Harbor were quite real, not the output of some badly fed computer model. ‘Global warming may or may not be a significant threat to the United States,’ Tim Holbert, a spokesman for the American Veterans Center, [said]: ‘The Japanese Empire on February 1945, however, certainly was, and this photo trivializes the most recognizable moment of one of the bloodiest battles in U.S. history’.” —Investor’s Business Daily

Not far wrong this time Scott
"I've made the switch,.." Yeah I bet there's one being drawn up now on recycled board.
No holds barred?
While we are trivializing Iwo Jima, the anticircumcisionists should photoshop these US heroes hoisting an uncircumcised penis. I think it also has tremendous potential for used car advertisements.
Instead of a torch, Lady Liberty should have a gigantic fluorescent light bulb. Additionally, she should have a billboard shaped in the form of comic book dialogue with the words "I've made the switch, how about you?" perched beside her head.

Wow
How incredibly offensive.
True, Leonid
The present evidence should be enough. But it would seem their embarrassment will only blush when the Earth empirically proves the man-made GW theory to be false ~ if indeed it even warms at all. Though I predict it will be less an epiphany than a gradual acceptance of the objective fact ~ as happened in the 70s when the ice age failed to cometh.

It is open secret that Time magazine has lost its last remnants of shame long time ago.I've cancelled my subscription and I'd advise to every body with self-respect to do the same. However i wonder why Jameson says that " a prolonged global chill, will make idiots of them all." ? Aren't they already idiots, rain or shine?
All this green on the cover
makes me wonder who actually owns Time Magazine.
Déjà vu
"The changing weather is apparently connected with differences in the amount of energy that the earth's surface receives from the sun. Changes in the earth's tilt and distance from the sun could, for instance, significantly increase or decrease the amount of solar radiation falling on either hemisphere—thereby altering the earth's climate. Some observers have tried to connect the eleven-year sunspot cycle with climate patterns, but have so far been unable to provide a satisfactory explanation of how the cycle might be involved.
Man, too, may be somewhat responsible for the cooling trend. The University of Wisconsin's Reid A. Bryson and other climatologists suggest that dust and other particles released into the atmosphere as a result of farming and fuel burning may be blocking more and more sunlight from reaching and heating the surface of the earth."
That was written in 1974 in TIME.

Sickening...
They've even defaced their own red type, red-bordered iconic cover. They're gonna be red-faced soon. The sudden lack of sunspot activity, which threatens a prolonged global chill, will make idiots of them all.
