Quote of the Day: CatholislamSubmitted by administrator on Sat, 2008-05-10 04:51.
"When you consider the hell on earth the Roman Catholic Church has instigated or inspired—the book-burnings; the slaughter and conquests of the Crusades; the massacres of 'heretics' and of 'heathens'; the dungeons and torture of the Inquisition; the uncountable innocents burned alive at the stake; the physical pain, mental anguish, humiliation, disease and premature death Catholic sexual teaching has imposed on billions of women; the terror, cruelty, beatings and sexual abuse inflicted on children over the centuries in countless Church-run schools and orphanages—then without question the leaders of the Catholic Church have been and are, unwittingly or not ... well, I leave you to make your own judgement." From 'Old Nick's Guide to Happiness,' an upcoming philosophical novel by Nicholas Dykes

I recommend
David Yallop's book 'God's Banker' though it's old- for those who haven't heard of it.

Christianity and Islam
Christianity on women: “A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man, she must be silent." Timothy 3; 11. Did you hear this, Hillary Clinton?
On slavery: "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear." Ephesians 5. Do you preach that, Rev. Wright?
And finally “Submit yourself, then, to God" ( James 7). Submission means Islam in Arabic, isn't it? Do you know that, Osama bin Laden? (I think, he does.)
My favourite Catholic quote:
A nun to her class of impressionable schoolgirls...
"Sex is a dirty, disgusting and depraved thing... that you should save for the one you love."
From Jeanette Winterson's semi-autobiographical "Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit"
