Ah waaaahhhh???????
Shocked

This is a throttling feature

This is a throttling feature of the site. Apparently we have more then 100 guest logged in right now which hit a threshold to start backing out of the more complex items we put on the site (like the who's online box). Back when we were having problems I turned this sensitivity way up, so I've adjusted it to normal values effective immediately. Those features should now only disappear if we have more then 300 guest viewers.
