"Take a good look at Kripnik's hair, you'll find something that defines him in it. It's not obvious, but the black parts of his hair atop his head make two objects."
I would never have spotted that otherwise, very subtle. Nice touch!
Michael & Landon, thanks, I
Michael & Landon, thanks, I do make it a point to try to get as much as I can out of an image, ideally going for a double and even triple meanings. In the one above, if it's not obvious, I have the American flag as the Twin Towers. I have this type of thing going on a lot in my first book and expect the same in The Infidel/Pigman.

I'm kind of hoping to see a new tradition
When I read articles in Wizard or a lot of the other trade mags it always hits me how many people put in "background jokes" (Ie drawing E.T. or ALF into a group of aliens or their favorite rock star into a crowd scene) I like the idea of filling background details with things meaningful
to the narrative.
I hope you start a new tradition.

Meanings
Here's an early, pretty thorough explanation of Pigman's chest symbol: the symbol mainly signifies 9/11. The left side of the 'S' you see that comes off the left rectangle makes out a 9 and the two rectangles are the Twin Towers making out an 11. Also, the 'S' can be for September with the 11. The 'S' also stands for money, since this Is most Definitely a Capitalist Pig. And in the old superhero tradition, S is also for Super.
I also have two small dents on the right tower, meant to be a 3, that along with the 9 makes for 93, which is meant as an homage for the heroes of flight 93, but can also be be taken as acknowledging the first WTC attack on 1993.
Bosch,
It's fascinating to hear the elements that go into that one graphic. I guess that means that we should all look closer into your work to find all the nuances and meaning. Well done, both the image and explanation.
Cheers,
Michael

Bosch
Very funny. I totally missed it. Now I see that at the appropriate moments there is contact too!! Very clever.

I'm away at the moment, but
I'm away at the moment, but I just wanted to thank Lindsay & Suma for the very kind words and support. And Suma, glad you enjoyed Table for One, when you can, take a good look at Kripnik's hair, you'll find something that defines him in it. It's not obvious, but the black parts of his hair atop his head make two objects. And there are many more hidden images placed throughout which made the process so much more enjoyable for me. And thanks again, Landon, I love art that has double-triple meanings, it's something I've always admired in others, esp. Rand.

+1
+1 to what Linz and Landon say.
Now that I've read and loved 'Table for One', add to that all those Pigman teasers on SOLO and your blog - I can't wait to get my hands on the published Pigman, and I can't imagine how impatient you must be to get it out. I know he is going to be my favorite superhero.
Bosch
Don't ever think you're unappreciated here. In my eyes, for one, you're a hero, even if an entire half of the Objectivist divide, as per anti-Objectivist Robert Campbell, deems such a sentiment to be inappropriate.
Linz
Sign of a good work of art
Something that has all kinds of new little things that you can spot no matter how many times you've seen it already.

Keep in mind, most of these things are for me and I don't expect all to see my intentions, but if people catch them, great.
Pigman also has a pentagon with a scar in it on his right shoulder, because I think we tend to forget about the losses at the Pentagon on 9/11.
And thanks, Landon.

Just spotted something for the first time
Pigman has the Pentagon on the shoulder doesn't he. I knew the chest logo was based primarily on the WTC (though I'm not sure I get the total significance of the ribbon in front of it).
I like it, great play on Obama.

'Hope' has been Obama's most
'Hope' has been Obama's most overused word besides 'Change', and he does indeed represent hope, hope for our enemies. Pigman is the symbol that represents the exact opposite. Also, if you notice, that's the American flag as the Twin Towers behind Pigman. There was someone who took exception to Pigman standing on our flag, which I made clear that he isn't literally standing on anything, it's simply a background symbol, and there's no shadow beneath him. Thanks as always, Sandi.

Very Poignant Bosch
This is a classic example of why I adore and respect your talent. I see this piece of your work as ambiguous (as always), indeed as dualistic as the enemy (For the uninitiated - PIGMAN'S ENEMY)
1: There is hope
2: All we have is hope
Bosch, you never cease to stimulate me.
Thank you.
