Foundation for Economic GrowthSubmitted by Elijah on Fri, 2008-07-04 23:42.
These chaps in Wellington seem to have the right idea. They are the Foundation for Economic Growth, who have a spendid website which comments and deals with a variety of economic matters relating to the New Zealand economy. Following on from what Lindsay was saying about evil yesterday, the Foundation claims "..The Foundation for Economic Growth is a group of like minded individuals who have decided to act rather than sit back and accept New Zealands continuing poor economic performance.." Their home page shows a timeline which proves things started to go downhill when Socialist policies started being adopted in the 1930s period, which rather vindicates my own lifelong views that if we reversed all of that nonsense we would be richer.
You can also read various papers and articles on a wide range of issues, and although there are silly remnants of collectivist thinking lurking about, these chaps do seem to be the sort of chaps the other chaps can trust; and from what I understand there are no working class or poor people as members. For those Solo-ists who are interested in economic, as well as philosophical, matters it is well worth visiting and signing up for their weekly email newsletters.
