Sir Robert Jones and PC televisionSubmitted by Elijah on Tue, 2008-08-05 23:31.
Every Wednesday at 10:45am I always watch Sir Robert Jones on the 'Good Morning" television programme, and it more or less amounts to the only television I watch. Sir Robert always has something informative and amusing to say so the show is always a delight to watch. On today's programme, however, things got rather odd (if rather predictable) and it shows the socialist, hysterical political correctness which pervades New Zealand...and it should not surprise anyone the show is produced in Wellington. Sir Robert offered to do a programme pointing out the benefits of smoking, and how he could prove it was good for [you] ...now, if someone made such a claim you would think they would jump at an opportunity to let him 'prove' smoking is a good thing, if for no other reason than if he was unable to do so. However, the presenter started shrieking at the thought and responded with a "no, no, no we can't do that", although like all White Urban Liberal types she could give no reason why "we can't" have such a programme...except a vague, socialist, axiomatic feeling that it is somehow 'wrong' to venture forth with the possibility it could be proven smoking is good for you...(however unlikely proving such a claim would be) Then Sir Robert suggested that if he were the Prime Minister he would set aside an area, fence it off, put all the Maori gang members there and tell them that murder was no longer illegal and "let them go for it" as a way of "doing god's work". The shrieking and gasping and palpatations from that silly presenter had to be seen to be believed as she quickly tried to shout him down....to which he responded "so you would prefer them out on the streets?" ...and, of course, no response from her...just a politically correct, socialist, axiomatic view that such a thing cannot be said on television. All rather sad that television is now very socialist, although that probably explains why so few people appear to be watching state television these days.

Yes, hmmmmmmm...not sure what is going on.
The segment I was referring to was there yesterday, but not now, yes...hmmmm...rather odd.
But if you watch any of his segments he has good things to say and worth a look...(unless you are an anally retentive politically correct sort of chap)

This morning's is not there yet..but yes..it was well worth watching, and judge for yourself whether a show where he tries to prove smoking is good for you would be worth watching! ha ha!
