It's Biden...Submitted by Elijah on Sat, 2008-08-23 06:26.
Obama has chosen Joseph Biden, Democrat Senator since the beginning of time and Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, as his Vice Presidential running mate. I must admit to having a bit of a soft spot for Biden, he seems a chap it is difficult to 'dislike', and is usually worth watching on Sunday morning talk shows on my computer. He has had a distinguished career in the Senate (apart from his hatchet job on Robert Bork) and it is sad his career will end in ignominy by losing this November and being out of the Senate in January. I do feel Biden brings a bit of credibility to the Democrat ticket, but insufficient to actually win. What will be awful for Biden is the dredging up of a few personal matters from over 20 years ago...I expect the media will have gotten stuck into him within a couple of days...and it is odd he wants to put himself through all that again. I am not overly surprised at the selection of Biden...but have to honestly say I have absolutely no idea who President McCain is going to have as Vice President.

Joe Biden, the man who was
Joe Biden, the man who was almost single handedly responsible for politicizing and criminalizing AAS use in the US.
Go team USA.
Not about winning, it's about staying alive
The funniest blog comment I've seen on why Obama picked Biden, and didn't even vet Hillary, for VP:
Remember the Obamessiah has often been compared to another young charismatic Democrat who became president of the US...Biden next in line will stop any would-be L. H. Oswalds in their tracks...Hillary a heart-beat away from Presidency on the other hand, we all know who he'd be fearing the most

Man! haha. Picking a blowhard like Biden tells me Obama wants to lose this, deep down, and then blame it on Biden, while telling himsef 'I'm not the Barack I used to know.'
