INTERVIEW with an INFIDELSubmitted by Bosch Fawstin on Sat, 2008-08-23 19:04.
My Profile/Interview from the March 08 issue of The New Individualist magazine, written and conducted by Robert L. Jones is now available at TNI's website. It's about my cartooning career in general and about The Infidel/Pigman in particular.

Yes ...
One shouldn't overdo Mallory, terrific though he is—Babs'd read all sorts of things into it.
"Rach freak" as in Rachmaninoff nut, like me. I seem to recall an Objectivist named Robert Jones with a whole Rach site. He was a Sibelius nut, too, curiously, which'd get Mr. Cathcart excited.
Edited to add: just googled and got http://home.flash.net/~park29/rachmaninoff.htm
I imagine it's the same fellow. I seem to remember we corresponded for a bit.
Lindsay, thanks, and Robert
Lindsay, thanks, and Robert did a great job, distilling a three hour interview into what you read. Here's that photo you mentioned, but it's a number of years old now and I'd rather have a relatively present one, these b & w ones were taking during the photo shoot for TNI last Oct. Don't get the 'rach freak' reference, but Robert is a regular contributor to TNI, writing movie reviews, doing interviews, he's a also photographer and an 18 year Army vet. Great guy.
Also, I feel I have to mention that the profile as is makes it seem like my sharing Roarks red hair is important in some way, it sounds so superficial, ha, but I must say that I saw the film The Fountainhead, really responded strongly to it, and then read the book and I did really like the surprise to me that Roark had red hair. Also, my mention of Mallory made it seem as if I responded to him more strongly than I did, at least relative to Roark. I spoke at length about Roark and Wynand as well during the interiview, without mention of it. Now, Mallory's a great character, as are the others, but in the end, it's Roark who really made THE impression and who I connected to most. Just for the record.

Excellent profile
I didn't know you were born into Islam, Bosch—or if I did I'd forgotten. Your interviewer did a good job. Is that Robert Jones, Rach freak?
BTW, talking of Roark's and your red hair, as you were, I liked your redheaded photo when you had it up here.
Great to hear, Jmaurone, I'm
Great to hear, Jmaurone, I'm there, and thanks.

Nice
Nice article, glad you're getting the attention for this, Bosch.
"Since September 11, the War on Terror has produced few movies to rally the troops aside from United 93 and Team America: World Police, and there’s scant evidence of the battle between good and evil in the one place you’d expect to find it: comic books.
On the big screen, after seeing Spiderman fighting the Green Goblin and a mad scientist, Superman clashing with Lex Luthor again, and the Hulk fending off the U.S. Army (puleeze!), I thought I would see a superhero take the fight to the Islamists only when pigs could fly."
When Stan Lee himself says it's ridiculous to have Captain American punching Muslims, you know we're in mess. But you're not alone, I'm working on the reinforcements...a 20 page history of the Marvel Universe (in spirit if not in name) where Cap reclaims the meaning of independence...it's drawn, just needs the text and color...stay tuned...
Thanks, and Shire Network
Thanks, and Shire Network News is doing their part during this war and they do it well.

Great to read more about you Bosch
I noted your appearance on Shire News and have spent the entire morning listening to their pod casts, they are terrific.
"Who is John Galt?"
Same here, Lance, believe
Same here, Lance, believe me, but prior to getting a publisher's interest, I was considering releasing it in pamphlets, to be collected later, and mentioned that to TNI at the time. Still may end up doing that, but right now I'm awaiting the final decision from the publisher, in addition to having also interested another one a few weeks ago. I will have an announcement here soon as it hits.
Until then....
