SOLO-International Press Release: Wannabe President Is No King

August 29, 2008

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

—Martin Luther King

The spectacle of a black man accepting the nomination of a major political party as its candidate for the United States presidency should by rights be something to savor and celebrate, notes SOLO Principal Lindsay Perigo.

"Racism has long been an unconscionable and contradictory stain on the great American enterprise. A demonstration that skin color is irrelevant to success in politics at the highest level would be very timely.

"How sad, then, that Barack Obama's acceptance speech at the Democratic National Convention showed that his own success is not based on the content of his character.

"Obama is not an authentic fulfillment of Martin Luther King's dream, articulated so memorably 45 years ago to the day. He is a charlatan and a demagogue, mimicking King's rhetorical style but sporting a huge fork in his tongue, with the left side grotesquely swollen.

"Today, the Leftist Obama who voted to raise taxes pretended he now plans to cut them (except for those on his bogey-men, the super-successful). The Saddamite Obama, friend of terrorist William Ayers, who voted against the liberation of Iraq and opposed the Surge, talked tough on terror and pretended the withdrawal of troops could responsibly have been contemplated without the Surge. The socialist Obama simultaneously pretended to believe it was a parental responsibility to turn off the television ... and threatened dramatically greater government control of pre-school education. The fascist Obama vowed to force health insurance companies to provide coverage in cases where they'd rather not. The Global Warmonger Obama, who has had to be dragged kicking and screaming into accepting the need for new oil drilling in and around America, pledged to end dependency on foreign oil in ten years — but was still pinning his faith in silly and inefficient 'renewables' schemes, mandated no doubt by ... the government. The collectivist Obama pretended to believe in individual responsibility while touting 'mutual responsibility' and insisting we are all our brothers' keepers. The original American idea of sovereign individuals who offer help voluntarily, out of the authentic benevolence that comes with freedom, is clearly alien to him.

"The fact that CNN's commentators are having orgasms over the speech is further testament to its totalitarian credentials and implications.

"The goal of America, Martin Luther King reminded us 45 years ago, is freedom. Freedom-lovers who are properly indifferent to the color of Obama's skin will assuredly pass him up because of the anti-freedom content of his beliefs," Perigo concludes.

I agree Eli, same with our polls, there's always a liberal bias.

Whoa...

How the hell are you, Mr Elliot? Smiling

Correct, Lindsay. Obama is

Correct, Lindsay. Obama is not an example of the American ideal.

He is foreign to the culture of the United States, and he is dangerous.

The only things missing from the superduperjackmeoff rally in Denver were flaming torches and swastikas.

As someone who has followed

As someone who has followed American politics rather closely since I was a boy...

Chaps should not pay too much attention to opinion polls over the next few days...they are likely to show Obama is 10% - 15% ahead of McCain...so do not get too worried by that Sticking out tongue ..it is expected.

McCain's convention is next week and we shall see what eventuates after that...but yes, don't worry if you see an opinion poll on Sunday showing Obama miles ahead...it will not last.

(I should mention....if Obama's lead is in single digits over the weekend and through to, say, Tuesday, the game is well and truly up for him...ha ha!)

On election day...tick the LIBERTARIANZ box...
