They should have just made it...
...and then let the sniping begin.
Allow someone else to make a better adaptation if they want.
Eventually everyone will get one adaptation they like.
This is same thing that happens with other classics where the copyright has lapsed.
The sooner they lapse on Atlas, the better
Not impressed w/ these dudes
These guys, of course, don't have any awareness of what the real gold mine of Atlas Shrugged is: the philosophy.
The love stories are dramatic and great - but unless the director and producer stay true to the principles of Objectivism it will be a disaster.
I expect that it's best that it didn't get made in the 70s.
Goodness!
Like dealing with the Church of Scientology?! Make the Mormons seem open?! Yikes!
Fascinating interview.
Fascinating huh?
God, he's smoked a few ciggies in his life time - what a voice!
The love story is a great part of the book, but nothing compared with the poignant philosophical/political message really. I wonder if now, after all this credit meddling the "boys in Washington" have done, the ending with the last lights of New York going out, might be more pertinent to the average American?
