The United Nations website lists "Agenda 21" as a "comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organisations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment."

Labour MP - Clayton Cosgrove 2007
"I can tell you now that we are indeed heading into a BRAVE NEW WORLD.

The New Zealand Government believes New Zealand can aim to be the first nation to be truly sustainable.

We are living in a world where environmental sustainability will increasingly be at the forefront of our decision-making.

Make no mistake - the move towards 'green buildings' will be driven by a combination of market competition and Government regulation."

NZ Labour Party Leader - Helen Clark

“New Zealand's future is dependent on long term sustainable strategies for our economy, society, environment, culture and way of life.”

Our challenge is to build a sustainable economy

The invisible hand of the market doesn't deliver a sustainable nation.

Building a sustainable nation requires smart, active government working with key stakeholders across the economy and society.

Is this why you grossly overpaid a quarter of a million dollars for a clapped out train set Helen?

The government will work with leading business networks, like the Business Council for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Business Network,

Traditional patterns of development and fast growing populations have put an intolerable strain on the planet. The future economic costs of doing nothing are dire.

That's why issues around sustainability and climate change have become the compelling issues of our times, dominating international forums and agendas…
only strong leadership driving farsighted, sustainable strategies can lock that in for future generations.”

“The New Zealand government launched its Sustainable Development Programme of Action in 2003 to ensure that sustainable development concepts underpin all government activity….decoupling economic growth from pressures on the environment

+++++

And the accolades are pouring in like the effluent run-off from the milking shed.

Along with a Ceres medal Helen Clark has also been named a Champion of the Earth by the United Nations. (she rides upon the same glory as other worthy recipients such as Al – Inconvenient Truth – Gore.

Stack and Pack - To quote the video clip "The partnership between selected developers building this new world order, paid for by taxpayers."

As I have previously reported, here in Auckland Addison Park is New Zealand’s first concentration camp.

Check it out (make sure you take a gander at the sustainability pdf). . Addison Park. As the website says “first of its kind in New Zealand”. Don't just look at the web site, you really must make the effort and get out to actually see this unnerving development. (Eastern side of the rail-way in between Takanini and Papakura).

If you think that Botany is pretty darn intensive then you ain’t seen nothing yet. Make sure you visit the office, which holds an enormous model of the development. I can not describe the chill I felt when I saw first hand the scale of intensity with absolutely zero area’s of privacy. Even the backyards are intermingled so you walk between houses. There are plans for thousands of additions of these houses – to house whom?????

According to the "Metro Project"

"Auckland, and New Zealand’s, long-term economic success depends upon taking concerted action now and then embedding the actions in a sustainable, continually evolving framework.

The need for a single overarching plan for Auckland has been well recognised and accepted. The Auckland Regional Council, central government and all seven local councils are currently developing a long-term sustainability framework to ensure that the region is working towards a common goal by providing a unifying vision, clear direction and coherent approaches to regional decision-making under commonly agreed sustainability principles”

Helen Clark has obligated New Zealand to a mere 6 billion dollar Kyoto obligation.
