GM CEO backs gas tax hike to sell carsSubmitted by mikelanyard on Fri, 2009-03-20 17:48
DON'T WANT TO BUY A GM CAR? THE GM CEO THINKS THAT A GAS TAX HIKE WILL HELP PERSUADE YOU! CEO Rick Waggoner announced to reporters (see link) that he is in favor of "consideration" for the suggestion by AutoNation CEO Michael Jackson that the feds should impose a $4.00 gax tax hike to "encourage" otherwise reluctant car buyers to purchase gas efficient hybrids. http://www.motorauthority.com/gm-open-to-idea-of-higher-fuel-taxes.html With this type of thinking, it is no surprise that GM has been continually losing its market share. So, do you want to buy a GM car?
