KASS Music Gem of the Day #15: Meditation from Thais (Massenet)—Sarah ChangSubmitted by Lindsay Perigo on Sun, 2009-04-19 06:35
I'll let my self-appointed girlfriend Lady S out of her cage for a night for the first person to identify the conductor

Hmmmm .......
Here's a different performance by A-S M, Lady S. Interestingly, one of the comments compares it with Sarah's, and says Sarah's is sweetness, A-S's is sorrow; both are gorgeous:
No biggie
I went off all that sliding around, but I haven't played it for a while—I'm sure I'd enjoy it again.
Actually...
It's not that Sophie-Anne puts more frilly oriental accents in it, it's that she plays it with more vibrato and slightly slower - seems to add an oriental sound. Linz, I remember you went off her version, but I can't remember why exactly?
The Sacred and the Profane
Glorious! And played as if by a mischievous angel just awakened after her first night of sex.
Well...
at least I was auctioned to such a stunning version of Thais! Sarah Chang plays this so beautifully - and isn't her enjoyment of it palpable. I think I still favour Anne-Sophie Mutter's interpretation though, due to the oriental, frilly accents she puts in.
"I'll have to spank her first"
In that case Linz, I'm on my way to come and help
Please don't move till I get there
Gotta run, see ya in a little while.
Hilton ...
That was just splendid..."ongefokkenlooflik" like they say in Afrikaans.
"KASS" is much easier!
Now feed her and pop her on the first plane to Brisbane please Linz
She's being uppity again. I'll have to spank her first.
Placido Domingo
