Here is one of my shameless SOLO Youtube bookmarks. But some here might appreciate this -- Karajan and the VPO doing Bruckner's 8th Symphony. The sort of thing I think Lindsay refers to when he says that Catholicism is kicking Objectivism's ass. The composer here is using this music as a vehicle for expressing the "total passion for the total height". The cathedral or church where this is played creates the right visual atmosphere.
