The American Idol, Kris Allen, has just been on Huckabee's July 4 programme, singing "Yesterday." Or rather, groaning, whining and sliding his way through it. It was truly hideous, and was enthusiastically applauded. It's official. There's no hope.

I think that it will be a very long time before we see liberty again. There is a very long rough road ahead to get there and every single day the road grows rougher and longer. Obama is seeing to that.
