SOLO-International Op-Ed: Climategate Clobbers Con-MenSubmitted by HWH on Sun, 2009-12-06 07:48
SOLO-International Op-Ed: Climategate Clobbers Con-Men Hilton Holder From the very first moment man became a thinking being, the predators among us wrinkled their noses in arousal when they observed how even the best among men became easy prey to superstition when confronted with an utter lack of evidence in explaining then-unknown natural phenomena such as lightning or fire. Such phenomena were attributed to the workings of an omnipotent force, a "God," for want of a scientific explanation. Of course it didn't take long for the shrewdest of the predators to cash in on man's weakness. They simply had to self-appoint and then sufficiently sell themselves to the scrounging mobs as God's chosen lobbyists, capable of somehow getting God Himself to deliver on special requests for assorted miracles. That is how they gained their power, and when the most ruthless gangsters spotted the priests' neat little money-spinner, they muscled in, and since then kings and priests have been thick as the thieves that they are. One would have thought Jefferson's Bill of Rights would have prevented organised crime in government ... 'fraid not. It seems that unless and until the majority of voters start realising the moral importance of, and start campaigning for, a complete separation of state and economics, religion, education (and now science), we shall never have a moment's peace from the criminals who seemingly inevitably become our political leaders. If "Climategate" doesn't offer the clearest evidence of how corrupt a mixed economy can become, nothing will. Evidence shows a worldwide political scam of such magnitude that I doubt it could ever be trumped. The show was set for a whitewash. Polls revealed the emergence of a special interest group with unstoppable momentum. Two thousand years of religious brainwashing touting the Fall of Man as having been responsible for alienating us from paradise, combined with four generations of anti-free-market socialist propaganda driven by envy-ridden intellectuals and educators set the scene for an impending Royal Flush for prudent pollies. All the ducks were in a row. To start with, most climate scientists had sold out and become "global warming" and then "climate change" shills in exchange for ever-increasing payoffs (research grants). The economy was ticking along nicely (no doubt due to GW's only credible economic policy). The green ideology was gaining momentum since it was forced by liberal fiat into the international educational curriculum. One would have thought that the inauguration of the first blatantly anti-American American president would be the coup de grace. All Obamas's commie confederates were grinning from ear to ear, most notably the one-eyed Scottish Idiot, and last and least, our own talented Mr Rudd. Copenhagen was to be the deathblow for individual freedom in the developed world. All encumbent pollies were salivating at the idea of a lifetime Gold-membership at their favourite kleptocracy, but methinks a few peskie details are derailing the gravy-train. First, we have to give thanks to Al Gore himself. Just one look at that smarmy oleaginous hypocrite should convince, and has convinced, most on this planet about his true intent. Next would be Fox News and their vigil, the only channel worth watching and their unwavering support of the truth, not to mention the tireless exposes of corruption by Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and a handful of others. Next we have to thank Al Gore once again. After all, he claims to have been the inventor of the Internet, and without him we wouldn't have had the blogs responsible for his demise. Then, we salute the hacker responsible for shining the spotlight on the criminal acts of the CRU. "Climategate" is going to leave these roaches and their allies no space to hide, and the guilty will be cast out and rightfully condemned for undermining an entire profession. Finally we thank Ayn Rand, the only philosopher brave enough to formulate the ideas not only to sustain life for man the individual, but more importantly to fuel an individual life worth living. It was she who first exposed Attila and the Witch Doctor. Man did not fall. Life is not guilt. The Witch Doctors masquerading as scientists, and the Attilas who sponsor them with stolen money, have been unmasked in the nick of time. Their intended definitive assault on freedom has been undone by their own perfidy. Hilton Holder: hwholder@bigpond.net.au SOLO (Sense of Life Objectivists): SOLOPassion.com

Seems ...
... neither Attila nor the Witch Doctor is happy to take questions:
"just like politicans"
"The scientists were keenly aware of how their work would be viewed and used, and, just like politicians, went to great pains to shape their message."
A comment like that, written without its being meant as a *damning* comment...OY!
Surprise, surprise about the conclusions reached by the Associated Press "exhaustive review."
"The Age of Envy," AR titled a piece. I'm thinking "The Age of Lying" would be a good title for a piece about the present.

Science of global warming not faked, inquiry decides
So claims the independent...
"Emails stolen from climate scientists at the University of East Anglia show they stonewalled sceptics and discussed hiding data. But the messages don't support claims that the science of global warming was faked, an exhaustive review by the Associated Press has found.
The 1,073 emails examined show that scientists harboured private doubts, however slight and fleeting, even as they told the world they were certain about climate change. But the exchanges don't undercut the vast body of evidence showing that the world is warming as a result of man-made greenhouse gas emissions. The scientists were keenly aware of how their work would be viewed and used, and, just like politicians, went to great pains to shape their message."

Yep Mark
Couldn't bear it either..to be as brazen in the face of their unmasking shows to what extent they believe the press and political opposition had been paid off.
Was slightly more encouraged to see Hannity call them out with impunity on Fox this morning.
Here in Aus a swing away from Greens and labour towards Abbott, a staunch skeptic and our new Liberal Party leader seems to suggest that the fat lady hasn't sung to us yet on this one.
With so many of the scumbags in Copenhagen having invested so much in this scam it's going to take Napalm to drive them back, and I suspect their act is going to become even more absurd.
Lets see what influence the blogs and Fox can have on this one.
Thanks Ellen
And bravo to you too for taking the fight to these ignoble dogs.
Good to see you haven't lost your fire after all these years
Ad augusta per angusta
Watching the opening of
Watching the opening of Copenhagen on New Zealand's TV 1 news tonight was vomit inducing.
The Scam started with a video of a terrified young girl screaming her head off while clutching to a palm tree, the sea roaring up to get her. ... Yeah right, so Hollywood, rather than science, will rule the next two weeks - I guess nothing we didn't know there.
And if anything could actually be called child abuse, then it was the young Fijian girl breaking down on the stage, crying, desperate for the world leaders to save her from climate change.
How sick is that. For every Madoff I'll show you someone worse, namely Al Gore, Phil Jones ...
Hilton, bravo on the op-ed!
I just got around to reading the whole thing.
It's very good! Thank you for writing it.

Five Physicists (including Larry) Petition APS
I'll cross-post this on Marcus' long thread.
This petition, made public on the web, is an episode in a long ongoing process attempting to get the executive committee of the APS to put its statement on global warming on hold for reconsidering.
I wish I could make public some of the letters members have sent. One in particular should be immortalized as a statement of the meaning and nature of science. Eventually we will endeavor to get permission to publish some of the letters.
The post was picked up by instapundit, where we're told it had gotten 80,000 hits as of early this morning. I don't know where the hit figures are given.

Physicists Ask American Physical Society to Rescind Its Statement on Global Warming Because It Was Based on “Cheat[ing]” and “Corrupted” Work
Jim Lindgren • December 7, 2009 2:29 am
While the wider world is just beginning to realize that the subfield of paleoclimatology is in shambles (and has been for the last decade), scientists in related disciplines are increasingly fighting back against the shoddy work and orthodoxy that was foisted on them.
A small group, including several prominent physicists, are asking the American Physical Society to rescind its political statement on climate change (tip to Bishop Hill):

Puff Powered Perfidy
Found this article yesterday in "The
Australian" of all places.
I remember Obama on his campaign trail whilst puckering up to the
climateniks, lamenting how backward the US was compared to Spains new
"Green" economy.
Even though they may well have to drag these puff-powered
whirlygigs around hanging out their arses, it seems that the cocktail
of envy, mysticism and a desire for the unearned will have
powerlusting pollies repeating history until the cupboard is
bare.
Will these zombies ever get it, or is the lure of a Marxist
utopia too compelling?
Could Branson build a spaceship to ferry us away from it all?

Climate e-mails were hijacked 'to sabotage summit'!!!
So reports the Times headline today. Anything to distract from the fact that there was any corruption uncovered!
.....................................................................................................................................
From The Times
December 7, 2009
Climate e-mails were hijacked 'to sabotage summit'
"UN officials have likened the theft of e-mails from university climate researchers to the Watergate scandal, after claiming computer hackers were probably paid by people intent on undermining the Copenhagen summit.
Jean-Pascal van Ypersele, a vice-chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), said that the theft from the University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit (CRU) was not the work of amateur climate sceptics, but was a sophisticated and well-funded attempt to destroy public confidence in the science of man-made climate change. He said the fact that the e-mails were first uploaded to a sceptic website from a computer in Russia was an indication that the culprit was paid.
“It’s very common for hackers in Russia to be paid for their services,” he said. “If you look at that mass of e-mails a lot of work was done, not only to download the data, but it’s a carefully made selection of e-mails and documents that’s not random at all. This is 13 years of data and it’s not a job of amateurs.”
Mr van Ypersele said that publication of the e-mails had undermined efforts by the IPCC to convince the 192 countries at the summit, which begins today, that they needed to act fast on emissions. “We are spending a lot of useless time discussing this rather than spending time preparing information for the negotiators.”

It's Settled - It's NOT Settled
Excellent Hilton.
"Consider the following example. Suppose that I leave a box on the floor, and my wife trips on it, falling against my son, who is carrying a carton of eggs, which then fall and break. Our present approach to emissions would be analogous to deciding that the best way to prevent the breakage of eggs would be to outlaw leaving boxes on the floor. The chief difference is that in the case of atmospheric CO2 and climate catastrophe, the chain of inference is longer and less plausible than in my example."

Thanks Michael
and how could we ever thank him enough for this ?
http://www.businessweek.com/in...
BTW...check out the beginning of the backlash now running in Aus..and after the brazen international media dick-platting fest running that frontpage fraud on Copenhagen that Mark speaks of, I bet you this backlash will accelerate around the globe.
http://wattsupwiththat.com/200...
Methinks now is the time to sell your "Green Energy" shares
This should illustrate your post nicely...
http://wattsupwiththat.com/200...
How could we ever thank you enough Mr. Gore?
Thanks Sandi
I wanted to add Key, but if I were to include him I would have had to include so many other scumbags, especially our traitorous me-tooing little pragmatist opposition, sorry, opposition leader , Mr Turncoat...uh, Turnbull who has now luckily been run out into the street.
All that remains is for him to be shot, the bastard.
Magnificent as always Hilton
I especially loved this paragraph
"One would have thought that the inauguration of the first blatantly anti-American American president would be the coup de grace. All Obamas's commie confederates were grinning from ear to ear, most notably the one-eyed Scottish Idiot, and last and least, our own talented Mr Rudd."
ps: I would add Mr Flip Flop, "John Key" to the collective of looters
Who did it?
Who corrupted science?
Power did.
Who corrupted education?
Power did.
Who corrupted justice?
Power did.
Who corrupted business?
Power did.
Who corrupted medicine?
Power did.
Ergo,
Power corrupts.
Yes, someone wrote recently...
"Two thousand years of religious brainwashing touting the Fall of Man as having been responsible for alienating us from paradise, combined with four generations of anti-free-market socialist propaganda driven by envy-ridden intellectuals and educators set the scene for an impending Royal Flush for prudent pollies."
That the intellectuals at the universities don't actually produce anything and are often dependent on Government money.
It is therefore no wonder that these are the intellectuals who spend their careers finding arguments to support parasitic politicians with their gravy trains.
As Orwell noted, the only hope is with the proles! Here defined as the non-intellectual classes outside universities.
May the blog revolution continue!
