Things are getting better and better? We should greet the world with rational optimism?

Hard and natural science has radically ascended in the past few centuries, but soft and human science has considerably declined. If you ask me, we live in an irrational, illiberal Dark Age where the tyrannical and genocidal commies and muzzies may yet destroy us all.
