Objectivism in ChinaSubmitted by Julian Pistorius on Thu, 2006-04-27 05:48.
I had an odd idea... Then I searched on Google for Ayn Rand and China. http://www.danwei.org/media_and_advertising/the_fountainhead_in_chinese_tr.php http://www.newsobserver.com/666/story/426149.html (Scroll down to the mention of Atlas Shrugged) This could be interesting... Any experts on Chinese society here?

Tim and Dan,The way I
Tim and Dan,
The way I recall they determined the most influential book in people's lives is from a poll in which they asked thousands of people that very question.
Couldn't Be Right
The last Harry Potter book sold over 13 million copies in the first year. I think Atlas Shrugged total sales is less than 8 million. Maybe they meant average sales over a long period of time(?) More likely, they were misquoting the Library of Congress survey which noted AS as the 2nd most influential book.

Atlas sales second only to bible?
The first article says that "Most early reviews note Rand's vast audience, with Atlas Shrugged selling second only to the Bible".
Is that really true?
