As the northern hemisphere slides into autumn, the southern hemisphere awakens to spring. And that's the time for chiles!

I'll grow about 30 plants this year, among them: bhut jolokia, scotch bonnet, fatalii, naga morich, rocoto, hatch green, chimayo, mirasol, aji norteno, brain strain, and the usual suspects: jalapeno and serrano.

The seeds are on the heat pad and subject to constant loving attention. I've got six months to produce some lovely fruity and spicy pods. Here's hoping for a good long summer.
