Disenfranchise the Dregs!

Howard Stern recently conducted vox pops with Obamarx supporters. To say they revealed themselves to be airheads is insulting to airheads. It's unconscionable that these dregs have the vote:

...I don't agree with this:

"Its just that for a woman to truly believe in individualism over egalitarianism and egoism over altruism and moral virtue over moral caprice is TRULY EXCEPTIONAL."

Middle class women certainly understand the need for fortitude, and they make up a large percentage of any western society. I've seen women tear each other apart in ways that men would not.

This goes to my belief that a staunch woman in concert with a staunch man is a very powerful thing. We should never forget that nature designed us to work together, and a strong woman is the best ally a man could ever have.

I agree despite my riff

But it allowed you to go off on a riff, Doug.

My riff's keep me sane even if they are not entirely epistemologically valid. And they're lively at any rate.

Frankly, women are more polarised than men. Show me a woman who believes in individualism, and I'll show you a force to reckoned with, and far tougher than most men.

I'll agree with this. Its just that for a woman to truly believe in individualism over egalitarianism and egoism over altruism and moral virtue over moral caprice is TRULY EXCEPTIONAL. They exist but they are not the norm. I actually think there are biological reasons* for this but yeah, culture matters a shit ton too.

-------

* The reason has to do with what is called the "War Bride" syndrome or innate female solipsism. I think a good case can be made that women have this because of their relative physical weakness in relation to men, a fact which is at the center of pretty much everything relating to female psychology. The upshot of it all is that women are rarely ever committed to a set of moral principles. They often are inherently Machiavellian. I know. Very cynical.

The problem with democracy...

Ross Elliot's picture

...isn't universal suffrage, it's that the suffrage isn't restricted by restrictions on state power.

You could give your dog the vote, but it wouldn't matter if Fido's vote was constrained by limitations on state power.

But then you have this idea that state power must have some governor, and that that governor must be a popular vote. Yes you can set up a requirement that a certain percentage of voters must approve an amendment to state power, but you still have the idea of a popular vote. There's no way to avoid this save the silly idea of a benevolent dictatorship.

It's only a change in the culture, the mindset, of the citizenry, that can hold the state in check.

Does it surprise anyone that this is a constant tension within politics? There is no magic bullet, there is only constant vigilance.

Christ!

Insult to airheads alright. Revolting.

They reply so assuredly, with such confidence. That's the educationalist's product - confident ignorants.

They're actually confident retards.

You can't blame women for this bloody mess. The problem with democracy really began by blanketly giving all citizens the vote - Universal Sufferage. Personally, I think only native citizens who own property in a nation should have the vote, regardless of whether they're male or female. And certainly not first generation immigrants.

You don't know?

Of course Sam was joking.

Only men should have the vote

The franchise should be: male, property owner, over 40, can spell.

I don't know if you said this tongue in cheek but you know the hell you'll catch for the "male" part. Its been pointed out many times, by Ann Coulter even, that if women couldn't vote the country would be mush less leftist then it is now. The welfare state would be alot smaller. Women have turned the government into one big provider state, all while they slut it up without consequence and get the state to subsidize female oriented industries like health care and education. Yes, not only is this a recession but it is a mancession because men are out of work more than women. The Left is waging both a race war against whites and a gender war against men. But fucking mainstream Objectivists consider this unimportant for some reason. I could spit. There I go, forever spitting.

I know the Objectivist politics wouldn't advocate a prohibition on the female franchise but it wouldn't be a bad idea now. Its hard not to be a little bit of a misogynist in today's world given what women have become (and how they vote - especially single women who almost all vote Demoncrat).

I'm...

Laughable if it wasn't tragic.

Although this isn't restricted to America. Line up a hundred New Zealanders and as them some non-sequitor questions.
