Yaron Brook, executive director of the Ayn Rand Center for Individual Rights, and Don Watkins, a fellow at ARC, have published a new article titled “President Obama Duels With Ayn Rand Over What Makes America Great.”

What is Barack Obama’s vision for America? Here’s one telling clue. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the president declares that the individualist credo of novelist-philosopher Ayn Rand misses “what’s best in America.”

So for whom are Amy and Yaron going to vote? Ron Paul?

Pity. I thought this article was a welcome respite from the usual ARI fixation on attacking the Republicans.

Romney's unspeakable. But Obamarx is unthinkable. And Romney is the only viable alternative in the real world Yaron and Amy refuse to inhabit. The fact that Romney is the only viable alternative testifies to the failure of the orthodox to get their unsullied purity across to anyone.

Masturbation is great, but quickly becomes boring. And it's always unproductive.

Can't argue with that

There is a good interview content-wise by Amy Peikoff with Yaron Brook at Don't Let It Go.

Around 23 minutes, Romney's me-too Mittisms.

Stellar piece!

I'd urge everyone to go read.

"In short, what’s best in America according to Obama is everything that came after the era when government’s power was limited by the principles of the Declaration of Independence. That, not Rand’s individualism, is what’s truly un-American."
