The Left Is Not Waging A Race War You Say?

Watch this 4 minute video clip if you can stomach it. The asshat in this video was hired by the USDA, as in The United States Department of Agriculture, to speak at a “Cultural Transformation” training seminar, aka reeducation camp for white people. And that is exactly what it is - a REEDUCATION CAMP. At one point this dude says that "I don't like the term minorities, I like the term emerging majorities". Its a big joke to him and the white people in the audience have no choice but to laugh along.

Ayn Rand could have never predicted this form for the emerging Leftist dictatorship in America. When she wrote 'AS' the country was 90% white. But mainstream Objectivists would have us believe that one of the biggest problems we face is that some Republicans oppose immigration amnesty. Would the ARI or its affiliates ever even comment on the above video? And if they did would they just say that "racism" is bad? Would they ever dare to name what type of racism it is; i.e. the hatred of whites?

I hope that someone out there is getting my message that the Left is hellbent on waging a war on white people. When you demonize an enemy you will ultimately want to KILL that enemy.

Does anyone care?

good way to put it

Probably from, to use an oxymoron, the anarchist thinker Molyneux.

Yes, Molyneux. He has derailed more than a few Objectivists. I listened to his podcasts at one point and it was through him that I saw how destructive anarchism could be. It is as you say, rationalism, intrinsicism and monism. Libertarianism in general and anarchism in particular shows what trying to argue for "liberty" looks like when you are not philosophically grounded.

I want to add that I know Sandi is a good person and her heart is in the right place. But anarchism is just dreadful. IMO, anarcho-libertarianism is the WORST and most nihilist of any of the political movements. They make Leftists look almost sane. Molyneux can be seductive in some subjects. But if you scratch him beneath the surface I see Rand's "drooling beast" in a slightly different form.

Yes Doug

gregster's picture

I agree that some of Sandi's integration has been derailed. None of us can expect to agree on everything, but those whose concepts most consistently, closely connect to reality should come out on top in the argument. Sandi has shown a tendency to float her concepts - to take things as axiomatic - without connecting many of the links back to their base. Intrinsicism or rationalism and some monism thrown in - the Libertarians' problem. And the anti-corporation stuff? Probably from, to use an oxymoron, the anarchist thinker Molyneux.

my response

Doug Bandler's picture

Individuals, sole proprietors and partnerships do not require contracts in order to make transactions.

This is disingenuous. Those business organization enter into contracts all the time. It is true that no contracts are required to create a sole proprietorship or a partnership (although partnerships do have agreements which are basically contracts). But the government is still required to enforce the contracts entered into by non-corporate business entities. That's what the government does. So arguing that the government enforcing corporate contracts is somehow different falls flat.

Corporations require enforcers to “act” on behalf of the corporation.

Don't pay your rent to a non-corporate landlord, it still takes the government to "act" on behalf of that landlord to evict you.

I said that the people who work under corporations, are self-less because they must submit and subordinate to a corporate religion and whether they like it or not, they must adhere to the corporate bible. For example: One of the basic principles and policies of social contribution demanded by the Toyota Corporation is contribution to social development.

I agree that corporations today are inculcating guilt and selflessness into both their management philosophy and their employees. But that is not anything inherent in the corporate structure. That is due to bad philosophy. And yes, Toyota's social development philosophy sucks. But still I think you take this too far. All people that work for corporations are not selfless. They are trading their labor for their salaries which is exactly what people that work for non-corporate business organizations do.

If corporations are servants of the people, then why can't all the workers speak for the corporations?

First I don't think that corporations should be servants of the people. They are vehicles to maximize their shareholder's wealth. And their employees only have as much power as they contract for which in most cases does NOT include talking for the corporation.

They are purely vehicles which need to be "serviced", fuelled and driven.

A corporation is an organization which is created by a series of contracts among FREE individuals. There is no coercion in the creation of a corporation. Without corporations there would be no pooling of wealth large enough to build an industrial civilization.

Furthermore, as a corporation is regarded as a legal (person), this actually encourages risk taking. Because, if the corporation goes bankrupt and after its assets are liquidated, it doesn't have the money to pay off creditors, the debt can literally die with the corporation.

No one is forcing anyone to do business with a corporation. If a company does business or loans money to a corporate entity IT KNOW IN ADVANCE its potential liabilities. This is the problem I am having with your position. You treat the corporation as if it were inherently criminal WHICH IS EXACTLY HOW THE LEFT TREATS IT. I know. I suffered through Leftist professors ramming this shit down my throat in law school. Sadly anarchists ape the Left in so many ways.

Corporations do not have political power in a free society (today they do but that is not the fault of the corporate entity). There is a difference between political power and economic power. A corporation has a set of assumptions that EVERYONE it deals with knows. The world is on notice with regards to corporations. No one is being defrauded. To prevent the formation of the corporate entity is to prevent individuals to enter into contracts of their choice. How is that liberty?

As for risk, the limited liability feature of the corporation makes large undertakings possible which means it basically means it makes an advanced industrial civilization possible. Corporations ALLOW CAPITAL ACCUMULATION that could not be achieved with just partnerships or sole proprietorships. An attack on corporations is an attack on industrial society which is why I see your arguments as so dangerous. They are the very arguments Leftists and Marxists (but I repeat myself) use.

Corporations cannot think therefore corporations have no knowledge. Knowledge management is part of the process where a corporation extracts knowledge from its workers whose personal values are low enough to sacrifice it.

Can a partnership think? Can a "marriage" think? Can a "team" think? No. Only individuals think. Corporations are just specific types of organizations of people that are created and governed by the freely entered contracts of free thinking people. There is no reason to harbor animosity against them.

Dangerous Thinking

Sandi's picture

”Your argument is that corporations are illegitimate because they need the state for their existence.

I never said that corporations are illegitimate but I’ll definitely say that the law which grants corporations same rights and privileges as it grants people, is.

”But corporations are creatures of contract. ALL BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS ARE CREATURES OF CONTRACT. That applies to sole proprietorships, partnerships and limited liability companies. None of them could exist without the state enforcing contracts”

Individuals, sole proprietors and partnerships do not require contracts in order to make transactions. Only corporations require contracts because corporations cannot negotiate or make transactions, nor can corporations go knocking at a door for payment. Corporations require enforcers to “act” on behalf of the corporation. Just like the Vatican requires Popes to act on behalf of god.

”Corporations are not "self-less" because they are formed for the purposes of maximizing shareholder wealth.”

I never said that corporations are self-less. That would be irrational. Corporations have as much self as does a society. I said that the people who work under corporations, are self-less because they must submit and subordinate to a corporate religion and whether they like it or not, they must adhere to the corporate bible. For example: One of the basic principles and policies of social contribution demanded by the Toyota Corporation is contribution to social development.

"all Leftists, believe that corporations are "servants of the people" and therefore owe a "duty to the community"

If corporations are servants of the people, then why can't all the workers speak for the corporations? All masters speak for their slaves but only privileged slaves can speak for their masters, and only privileged workers can speak for corporations. Arguing that a corporation owes a duty to a community is irrational, lest you supply me with a picture of a corporation and of a community, so I can consider this objectively. It would be interesting to see how a corporation would serve a community because both corporations and societies cannot speak nor act for themselves. They are purely vehicles which need to be "serviced", fuelled and driven. Steering committees are there for a reason. Is it rational to grant a vehicle the authority to sue a pedestrian and is it any more or less rational than a pedestrian having to sue a motor-vehicle and not the driver (and how many drivers and who the drivers are, is, also highly debatable).

So, not only is it utterly ludicrous that if a pedestrian is forced to do business with a car, he must sue that car for breach of contract for damages. And the cost to the pedestrian is potentially the value of an entire life’s work. Yet still that might not be enough to fund a court case against the average corporation. The risk to a citizen could be his house and life saving’s. In comparison, a corporation risks what? Who has the highest risk? Who stands to lose the most?

Furthermore, as a corporation is regarded as a legal (person), this actually encourages risk taking. Because, if the corporation goes bankrupt and after its assets are liquidated, it doesn't have the money to pay off creditors, the debt can literally die with the corporation. In an un-regulated free market, the owners would be morally obliged to pay off the debt themselves.

"Their arguments at root are no different than yours”

Grass roots is it?

Leftists are self-less because they are not self-interested. If corporations are "servants of the people" then why do directors "serve on their boards"? Why do corporations pay "service" leave? And if corporations are "servants of the people" then public servants are people of the corporations which, in fact they are. Corporations cannot think therefore corporations have no knowledge. Knowledge management is part of the process where a corporation extracts knowledge from its workers whose personal values are low enough to sacrifice it.

“It stands to reason that where there’s sacrifice, there’s someone collecting sacrificial offerings. Where there’s service, there’s someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice, speaks of slaves and masters. And intends to be the master.”

Ayn Rand

New ideas arise from cross-pollination – complex interactions between many individuals, organizations and environmental factors. Winning innovative solutions are inspired and developed in the process of cross-pollination of ideas, rather than narrowly focused search. "- Vadim Kotelnikov

very wrong and very dangerous thinking Sandi

Doug Bandler's picture

People who work under a corporation are socialists by definition that they are self-less because their primary concern is for the corporation. According to Ayn Rand "the code of self-sacrifice—is socialism, in all or any of its variants: fascism, Nazism, communism".
A corporation cannot exist outside of a regulatory framework.

Oh wow Sandi, this is very, very wrong. I see that you are indeed an anarchist and that you have internalized their premises. Not good.

Your argument is that corporations are illegitimate because they need the state for their existence. The Left also uses that argument for the purposes of regulating and taxing corporations.

But corporations are creatures of contract. ALL BUSINESS ORGANIZATIONS ARE CREATURES OF CONTRACT. That applies to sole proprietorships, partnerships and limited liability companies. None of them could exist without the state enforcing contracts and providing default rules in the area of business law.

You are really distorting the meaning of "selfish". Yours is NOT the Objectivist approach to that term. Corporations are not "self-less" because they are formed for the purposes of maximizing shareholder wealth. That purpose was agreed to by free individuals. A corporation is the product of contractual agreements that carry implied covenants between the corporation and those that deal with them. There is nothing selfless about them. You are conceding a Leftist and collectivist premise that corporations are selfless. That is very, very, very dangerous as you are granting the Left the moral high ground.

I actually went to law school although I never practiced and I can tell you that law professors, all Leftists, believe that corporations are "servants of the people" and therefore owe a "duty to the community". Their arguments at root are no different than yours. You need to do alot of rethinking on what selfishness actually means. Your approach is rationalism; i.e. abstractions not grounded by concretes. Corporations as selfless because they are formed for shareholder wealth is as rationalistic an argument in this area as you can get.

How about looking at it this way Greg,

Sandi's picture

A corporation cannot exist outside of a regulatory framework.

An individual who invests money into buying capital (tools of the trade) for his own business, is a capitalist by definition. His primary concern is Self-interest.
Individual business owners can exist outside of a regulatory framework.

Individuals who combine their capital (tools of the trade) and form partnerships, are also capitalists by definition. Their primary concern is for their investment (Self-interest).
Partnerships can exist outside of a regulatory framework.

race riots imminent

Doug Bandler's picture

Since the media must know that they are lying, I suspect that they are trying to instigate a race war when Zimmerman is acquitted or doesn't even face trial after a Florida immunity hearing.

If he does get acquitted there will be black riots all over America. I hate to say this, but on my darker days I actually wish that happens. Perhaps that will start to wake up the good people of America (read non-Leftists) about the problems we have with blacks and the Left (and non-Asian minorities in general). But...

I'd bet dollars to donuts that mainstream Objectivism would still be clueless. They'd blame this on the imminent Christian Theocracy (tm). Or maybe its because Conservatives oppose amnesty!!

The Left is waging a war against whites, men and non-Leftists. Rand's "drooling beast" is FAR more evil than even she imagined.

Doug

Neil Parille's picture

The evidence tends to show that Zimmerman acted in self defense. At the least, the prosecution will not be able to show by a reasonable doubt that he didn't act in self defense. I've read everything I can on the case, including the witness and other statements that have been made public. There is a left wing blog, talk left - the politics of crime, that has been covering this.

Since the media must know that they are lying, I suspect that they are trying to instigate a race war when Zimmerman is acquitted or doesn't even face trial after a Florida immunity hearing.

Neil

Doug Bandler's picture

I have not followed the Zimmerman affair lately. Has any evidence come out that clarifies what went on? My guess is that the black kid attacked Zimmerman and he killed him in self defense. I know that the Left is desperate for this "white Hispanic" to be a ruthless killer. It all fits in with the disarmament of the American citizen.

You’ve looked up Koch Industries. And even if we (oops-I’ll too get shot using that word) look there we can see Charles Koch is a genius of entrepreneurship.

Each of your highlights reinforce why Mr Koch is great: for the company; acting; share your knowledge; drive creative destruction; achieve personal improvement

He is the very man I thought you champion, and I believe you are tarring him along with those who do deserve a tarring.

Do you feel business leaders have been involved enough in public policy in promoting free-market principles, or any principles at all?

Just a relatively small minority. Today, various government programs get started, and then businesses learn how to profit from them and build constituencies that make it impossible to get rid of them, whether it is protectionism or subsidies, or regulations.

Some people think we may be seeing this phenomenon now with the reaction of business leaders to global warming.

And I know a bunch of these people. They don’t really believe what they’re saying, but they feel they’ve got to say it to ensure that the regulations are such that they will be profitable rather than unprofitable for them. It’s really disturbing and very dangerous for the future of this country.

I'm not going to scrap with you over this one. Thanks for illuminating a wonderful man and a lobby group which gets stuck into President B.O..

Here Charles Koch, creates an oxymoron of defining an entrepreneur. Exactly in the same light as younkins tries in vain to force a square peg into a round hole by attempting to place "Objectivist Virtue Ethics in Business" (2)

An entrepreneur works for himself, not for a corporation.

An agreement reached by a group of men is only a compromise or an average drawn upon many individual thoughts. It is a secondary consequence. Martin/Zimmerman Case

Neil Parille's picture

This is from a CBS/AP story last week.

Despite a police dispatcher telling him "you don't have to do that," Zimmerman got out of his truck to pursue Martin, who was carrying nothing more than a beverage and candy in his pocket.

Here's The Transcript

Dispatcher

He's running? Which way is he running?

Ambient sounds are heard which may be Zimmerman unbuckling his seat belt and his vehicle's "open door" chime sounding. The change in his voice and the sound of wind against his cell phone mic indicate that he has left his vehicle and is now walking. The dispatcher seems to pick up on these changes and sounds concerned when he later asks Zimmerman if he is following Martin.

Zimmerman

Down towards the other entrance to the neighborhood.

Dispatcher

Which entrance is that that he's heading towards?

Zimmerman

The back entrance…(expletive)(unclear)

This section of the recording has been the subject of much speculation. Some suggest that Zimmerman has just made a racial slur, but the audio is not clear.

Dispatcher

Are you following him?

Zimmerman

Yeah.

Dispatcher

Ok, we don't need you to do that.

Zimmerman

Ok.

I'd add that Zimmerman's breathing comes to a stop, indicating that stopped following him.  And he was out of the truck, so the claim that he was told to stay in the truck is incorrect as well.

Hope these liars in the media rot in hell with Soros.

I have SERIOUS concerns about Cruz.

Sandi's picture

IMHO elections are stacked. I do wonder if Cruz is planted into the GOP to counter Rand Paul. Considering the left push towards the North American Union which is enhanced by the legalization of 10 million Hispanics, it is most important that the next leader be Hispanic. It is interesting that both Obama and Cruz were educated as Harvard lawyers.
It is also very interesting to see the Heritage Foundation make this move on "the departure of Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., from the United States Senate to head the Heritage Foundation could elevate Sen. Elect Ted Cruz, R-Texas, to be the tea party leader in the Senate."

The Heritage Foundation?
“Dick (I never mentioned that I was a member of The Council of Foreign Relations, when running for office) Cheney, has set a lifelong example of what it means to be a citizen, a leader and a patriot,” Heritage President Edwin J. Feulner

I also note that the lobby group (Americans for Prosperity) has been sponsoring his speaking. This group promotes socialism and is funded by Charles Koch.
From their website. "AFP’s network of organized and influential citizen leaders in a growing number of states throughout the country is working to change the nation one state at a time

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz has earned a few nicknames in the brief seven weeks he’s been in Congress – including the unflattering “Senator No.” But nobody can say the freshman senator has broken his campaign promise to shake up Washington upon arrival.

The Tea Party-backed candidate has so far made good on vows to be combative and uncompromising in his adherence to conservative principles.

The 42-year-old Cruz has already voted against Senate rule changes to modestly curb filibusters, aid for Superstorm Sandy victims and the Violence Against Women Act.

He also was one of only three "no" votes against Massachusetts Democratic Sen. John Kerry's nomination to be secretary of State. And he publicly skewered President Obama’s nominee for Defense secretary, former Nebraska Republican Sen. Chuck Hagel.

All of that has helped Cruz earn such nicknames as “Cruz Missile,” “Senator No” and even “The GOP's Nasty Newcomer.”

In order to show the depth and breath of the battlefield with the left, Here is a small exercise so you can see how well established the FOUNDATIONS of change are and you can clearly see how far in advance that politics are planned and implemented according to plan (including election outcomes - but that is another thread). Just as a simple exercise, I have just listed a few steps to show you a RANDOM case of checking out networks.

Start with a search for example "Change Agent"

Bingo, straight off here is a website devoted to a change agent programme (remember, people get programmed). As I visit each website, I have used numbers for the links and they are listed below.

Now lets go back to our random website, to see how pervasive the left really is.

There is a bigger picture Doug and here is a part of it

Sandi's picture

Its not a black and white issue, it is one of culture and the driver is the UNITED NATIONS. It's all there to see, check out the huge pot of trinkets available to "indigenous" people who are given beads and blankets to challenge governments for forests, mountains, water catchment area's (volcano's are hot on the list) and then they turn them over to UN control in the guise of Heritage property. Here in New Zealand the United Nations controls a huge chunk of mountains, volcano's and forests. In fact they even have a river which is now a corporation and has the same rights as a person. The path for this was a 'very cunning, slowly developing plan' and I guess for legal purposes, they needed to change the name first. Whose idea was it to change the name? Anyhow it was done and then after a few haka's and rattling of the poi's. Maori now have a partnership with the United Nations and a chunk of NZ has been removed.

The mountain "Egmont" will be next, it has already had its named changed and the scene is being set (they are still writing the songs and dances).

This collectivist prick is what is called a "Change Agent".

Culture is actually created. What western government doesn't NOW have a Ministry of Culture? Yes, culture is created especially for those who lack values and indeed are GULLible enough to swallow it. (Collectivists are indeed Gannets when it comes to a free meal).

Jim Murphy MP, Speech 14th Feb 2013 - UK

17:12 "Adaptable units, highly trained and region specific, could be charged with in-depth outreach, with a focus on cultural embedding. At the invitation of host authorities, our engagement with fragile nations would be more proactive and potentially longer term, with units tasked with advising and implementing training, stabilising, policing and combat prevention…..linked up with international development efforts….the principle of cultural embedding would be to invest resources early
Would demand internationalisation that would only work in part of a unified NATO effort

22:38 Enabling ENFORCEMENT of collective rights and values and limiting space for extremism" (those who don’t want communism)

23:33 "we can build on the great work we do already with … the British Council in particular" (The British Council is part of the SOROS Network

24:27" Our support can be seen as a potential driver of change…and civilian control of military as an incentive to foreign policies

25:27 And this long term focus of interventions must be about building multi-national regional institutions which can deliver indigenous" (conditioned) "responses

drum roll ------ And as the grand finale, he ends his speech with a complete and blatant contradiction of the last 30 minutes.

"No one in the UK or our international allies wants to police North or West Africa. Whereas once European nations competed for control in this area of the world today we must cooperate in the knowledge that our own economic and social advance, is not brought by conquest but the self-advancement of African nations themselves." That is to say after they have been thoroughly washed in the re-education camps
