To be released on the 26th of September.

Boyd explained: 'Titles are very important to me and as soon as I wrote down Solo on a sheet of paper I saw its potential.'

According to Boyd, "Events conspire to make Bond go off on a self-appointed mission of his own, unannounced and without any authorisation – and he's fully prepared to take the consequences of his audacity."

New James Bond novel will be called Solo and star a middle-aged 007 on a 'self-appointed mission'

Bond and safe sex

Post 1960s Bond could use condoms. But does James Bond use condoms? I have a hard time imagining Bond taking time out to put on a condom. Granted, there are creative and sexual ways to put on a condom, but safe sex is just so... ordinary. Bond is not ordinary. Would he care about safe sex? In his context, he could say, well I've got to die of something.

Rand on the other hand, well she has her characters roll the dice. But then again, didn't everyone do that before the 60s? Which is why women weren't sluts back then. No pill, no condoms. Thus you can't sleep with all those wise-ass bad boys and charismatic jerks like you can today. Mario Lanza instead of Ke$ha and all that.

I guess Bond in his own way was encouraging promiscuity. James Bond, the man women want to fuck and other men want to be. Well, ok. But what about the nice hard working accountant that lives next door? Well, I guess you could wait till your 30s and see if he's available then, after you've screwed around with all the assholes and James Bond wannabes. You know, the fuck the cads and marry the dads strategy.

Hypergamy wasn't on Rand's radar. But we can forgive her for that.

Found it interesting that no venereal disease or children resulted from bonds couplings. Kind of like an Ayn Rand novel I guess

Don't take it lying down Linz

This could amount to trading on your good name - one Man, and like-minded gang, against omni-directional evil. The thick plot inspired by years of documented, SOLO copyrighted schisms in O-land ably brought to focus from a Peka Peka perspective. No horse in any race except the one running on the hard to come by truth. No amount of enemy gadgetry could overcome the force for good. This is one for the SOLO legal team. Perchance one of the few occasions when compromise may be in order. A credit in the titles as the nubile conquest rolls from the sheets would be a beneficial spinoff, or a donation to Leonard's Books To Caves initiative, notwithstanding dear Ayn's falling out with Fleming.
