Four days ago marked the 39th anniversary of the last Gabriel-era Genesis album "The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway". Thought I might share this concept album with everyone here. I've been listening to this incredible piece almost everyday for the entire semester. I don't think I'd classify it as prog rock; more like art rock, along the lines of Elton John, David Bowie, etc.

For those interested in the story, well, it's a bit convoluted. The main premise tells of Rael, a Puerto Rican juvenile delinquent who delves into a strange, fantastical, and oftentimes erotic, world in order to find his brother John. The story, imo, is okay, but not nearly as good as the music (Phil Collins and Steve Hackett excel in this album).

Anyway here it is, in all its art rock glory.

And if you think that IT's pretentious, you've been taken for a ride. Eye
