I survived a dysfunctional family. In my mid-teens, five years after my mother had deserted us, my father discovered, and introduced me to Ayn Rand's "The Fountainhead". Two speeches, that of Elsworth M. Toohey and Howard Roark, opened the door for me, and I have been an Objectivist student ever since--learning as much from my fellow western Canadian "free lunchers" as I continue to learn from the writings of Ayn Rand, Robert Heinlein, Adam Smith, and William E. Simon {A Time For Truth]. Even after fifty years I find that I am still a student [moreso since accessing the internet] as Canada and now the U.S. are now headed toward becoming POLICE STATES not unlike that described by George Orwell in his novel "1984'--which is exactly what the corporate, trilateral world wants.
In fact, if "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" were retitled "The Protocols of the Elders of the Trilateral Freemasons", I believe the world would find truthes beyond belief!
I do not really know about the rest of Canada, or the US, but the government of the Province of British Columbia are a prime candidate of what is, or will be, a POLICE STATE!
